I was hesitant to commit to dining at Giacomo's, or attempting it, after hearing about the cramped quarters, long wait times (and no reservations) and cash only policy but decided to chance it on a Saturday night for a date with friends. Boy am I glad I listened to the reviews! We drove by at 5:30, half hour after opening, and already there was a line, in the rain...I figured, this HAS to be good! We had a party of 7 and despite the line, the seated us as we came in line (I've been passed over for smaller parties before so I was surprised they did not, excellent!). Our waitress was excellent, brought us our wine and appetizers right away. I was shocked at how incredibly reasonable the wine prices were! The pinot grigio, calamari, and garlic bread were all excellent. On to the main course, I had the lobster & shrimp special over homemade fusilli in a combo of giacomo's and fra diavolo sauce... heavenly! And hearty, I had plenty left over for breakfast the next morning. The whole party enjoyed their meals, consisting of chicken & eggplant parm and chicken&broccoli in garlic cream sauce over penne. And for 7 of us with a bottle of wine, beers, apps and meals only came to $150! I've spent that much on a party of 2 a lesser restaurants. This place is so very worth the wait and the patrons know it! Its cozy, and yeah, you barely have room to move, but the excellent food and service, and reasonable price make it a win in my book!
