“Great Catch of the Day”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

Had dinner with a bunch of people. Appetizers of steamed mussels and fried clams were good. Had main entree of fresh Haddock which was delicious and it came with fresh sauteed vegetables. Dessert of cannoli and tiramisu were delicious. One of the best Tiramisu I had and I eat lots of tiramisu. Had a great view of the bay habor while eating.

“Great view, very good service, okay food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

A business associate made reservations and recommended we do a late lunch. The restaurant was not at all crowded. We were quickly seated at an outside table but as far from the water's edge as could be. We asked for a table closer to the water, but were old they were "reserved for dinner patrons." (It was 2:00 PM, were they waiting for a Florida bus tour with senior citizens with coupons for their early bird specials?) My rating on service does not include the snotty attitude of host who seated us.
Our server (name not added to protect the innocent), came over promptly with menus and took n/a drink orders (had to go back to work) and readily agreed to separate checks for six of us - earning her an extra tip. Drinks arrived quickly and she took our orders after answering a few questions.
The lunches arrived within a respectable time.
We all had some type of fish or chicken with pasta or as a panini. There was nothing wrong, but nothing great either. Kind of average and blah. They have a great reputation for pasta, but I have had just as good out of a box from the store. My 5 shrimp were okay, but I'd try something else that wasn't swimming in a pool of white wine butter and garlic sauce.
I'll go back again for the view and friendly table service, but only in good weather for an early bird dinner so I can sit in a seat closer to the water.

“Not so much”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014

The Daily Catch had rave reviews from a friend who was a regular many years ago (different location) but this first visit for us was pretty unimpressive. While the food was okay, the portions were small and WAY overpriced for what you get. If the idea of sitting beside a harbor is worth doubling your bill, you might have a better experience than we had.
Service was okay but should have been much better based on the restaurant's reputation and cost.
Overall, it was an expensive evening with nothing memorable to back it up and nothing that would make me want to go again.

“Best seafood ever!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014

After going to the Barking Crab to find that all the tables were occupied, are family decided to go to The Daily Catch. We only had to wait a few minutes for the waiters to seat us, there was a beautiful view and we could see a lot of the city. The scallop Alfredo was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! It was creamy, and perfectly seasoned. The Caesar salad was also very good, the garlic chips on top were divine. The squid ink pasta was delicious. We had a great experience with this restaurant.

“Great Italian-theme Seafood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

We were tourists in Boston, walked by (July 3), read the menu. and sat down for a late lunch. I love linguini with clams, and these were outstanding. We went back for dinner on July 5, even though we had planned to visit another restaurant. Our dinner experience was outstanding again. We chose to sit outside both times, and it was a really nice setting (on the harbor) for a great meal.
