While the food was not bad - there was nothing that stood out as exceptional. It would be nice to have a bread assortment available for the table. Overall, the place was extremely small and conversation was impossible because of all the noise in the establishment.

This restaurant is small yet perfectly formed.
The menu reflects a good Italian cuisine and in addition has an extensive list of mouth watering daily specials. The pricing is reasonable and the wine list whilst not extensive has some great entries and is not too expensive.
All in all - a great dining experience in the North End of Boston with plenty of atmosphere.
Highly recommended.

I tried two of the specials - fried zucchini blossoms that were light and delicious and sweet potato gnocchi that were excellent. Very pleasant and attentive service as well.

Service and food was perfect. The menu features Italian fare not Italian American. Seating is limited so we were there when they opened the doors. Our meals were perfect and they gave you all the time you wanted at your table.

After walking down a side street in the North End, we spied this small cozy little place and decided to walk-in without reservations for early dinner. We were lucky and we seated immediately at Trattoria Di Monica. The homemade pasta was particularly tasty and the sauces light and flavorful. Two of our party had seafood and both agree it was fresh and seasoned to perfection. Our salad was light, fresh and delicious. We were delighted with quality of our meal and the friendliness of everyone. Now the word is out and this is the place to go in the North End. We are planning on returning soon.
