We went with our Colombian friend who wanted us to experience typical food from her country. The restaurant is very simple and colorful. The service seemed very harried- hard to get our drinks ordered, a long time between ordering and getting food. The appetizers that were best were the yucca and the friend plaintains. The empanadas were not very tasty and the beef in them tasted like tunafish. The shrimp with rice was good (very generous portion- you could easily share it) and the accompanying coleslaw was great. Overall it just seemed a little disorganized and the service seemed to need training.

If you are around Boston and want to experience a different type of food, this is the place to go. It is not a fancy restaurant focused on how the place and the food look. Rather the intention is to have a typical Colombian restaurant. Food is authentic and delicious and not expensive at all. Give it a try. You won't regret it. Fried yuca is a good appetizer and the plato paisa will definitely leave you ready for a nap.

I had been here once before but the girlfriend had never had Colombian before so I decided to take her. She loved it. The food was so good and filling. The empanadas were fresh, just out of the fryer filled with meats. Our meals were so good. The manager came over to make sure everything was good with our meal. The place and the bathrooms were super clean. It's a sit down restaurant but I bet they do a good carry out business, and it's not fast food like a lot of chinese or burrito places. You can drive right by this place and not even see it but if you are looking for something different go. You will enjoy it and for two of us, appetizers, two meals, one drink, 30 dollars. Can't beat it in this city.

This is not necessarilly a restaurant for the foodies out there.
Having said that, educated, well read and traveled folks as well as adventurous college students would enjoy Camino Real.
They offer authentic Colombian food, hearty and delicious. Presentation is not a priority here, however, your appetite will be satisfied.
Expect a restaurant decorated with primary colors.
Prices are very reasonable and staff are nice.
