I love orchids, and a lot of their entrees have a really pretty purple orchid as part of the presentation. These entrees are hearty, so definitely expect to feel full leaving the place. Their desserts are super yummy too!

“pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 January 2014

Very nice Asian bistro on Boylston with reasonable prices, excellent food, efficient service. This was a pleasant surprise. The lemongrass soup was spicy and delicious and just what we needed to warm up on a cold evening of wandering around Boylston and Newbury streets. The menu is extensive, the decor understated and pleasant. The staff is pleasant and the food arrived without delay but not before we'd finished appetizers. This is a great choice for dining on Boylston Street without spending all night or emptying the wallet.

“Nice back Bay Cuisnie”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

I went there with my girlfriend about two weeks ago and did not have one of their famous drinks, but there was a couple who were giddy over trying a few. We had drafts that were fine and not expensive, plus they were Japanese beers, Sapporo. We started of with Shrimp & Pork fried rolls for two. (http://www.typhoonboston.com/menu.htm). &.00 was fair for the three that we had- large and tasty. My girlfriend had never tried duck before so we got the crispy curry duck- this was great- it was plentiful and so much so we took some home ( and I am big guy). The other dish was the sizzling seafood, that had plenty of scallops, ( my favorite), and veggies; We took some of that home too. As you can imagine we did not get dessert, but we were filled. There was some discrepancy with a coupon that we had, but the wait staff handled it and we were on our way. It was not crowded the day we went there and got served pretty quickly. We also felt good to solicit a business near the Marathon bombing site.

“Nice restaurant but food mediocre”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2013 via mobile

This is a nice restaurant with very reasonable priced food. We had two lunch specials but were not too impressed by the dishes. Also, the waitresses spilled a glass of water over my trousers. We probably will give it another change and will try one of the entrees.
