A relatively new Residence Inn located near several of Boston's historic sites and the city's financial district, the hotel is perfect for families looking to explore a great city or business people in Boston who are looking for a roomy place where they're not confined to a single room for an extended period.

Our room consisted of a very comfortable, large living room area with a kitchenette and a separate large corner bedroom. The hotel provides breakfast with a nice selection of hot and cold items and the coffee was unexpectedly good. The Children's Museum, the Tea Party Museum (a high point), Fanueil Hall and Quincy Market are all within walking distance. The facility is fairly new and, having once been a factory, has a unique design featuring brick walls and high, wood-beamed ceilings.

The staff was uniformly pleasant and helpful, and went out of their way to assist us, from check in through our entire stay. On our way to a restaurant, I wasn't sure about the printed directions I had and one of the desk staff actually walked me outside so she could show me where the correct street was located.

Comfortable accommodations, and great service add up to a strong recommedation.

Room Tip: The corner rooms are particularly spacious.

My company was having a Christmas party at the Seaport hotel, but the reserved block of rooms was gone by the time I tried to make reservations. I got a good deal on this place for a weekend night ($194 from the website - very reasonable for this area). The hotel is a newly renovated warehouse building and has a great look & feel. We were upgraded to a suite at check-in, which was huge. Separate living room/kitchen, with a breakfast bar. Huge bedroom. Nice city views. Very quiet. Nice lobby. Breakfast buffet off the lobby. Nice bar down the street ("Drink") and bakery/breakfast place around the corner ("Flour"). Very easy walk to the Seaport Hotel & Faneuil Hall/Aquarium area (warm December day - I was in the same area earlier in the week, with 20 degree weather & high winds - my face froze). My only complaints were the lack of an in-room safe and would have preferred a separate tub/shower combo, given the amount of space they gave to the entire room & how new the place was. Would definitely stay again.

Have stayed at numerous Residence Inns around the US....this was by far one of the most unique hotels... in a convenient/great location in Seaport area. The staff were very helpful. It was cool to see how so many qualities of the original building were incorporated. This trip was a combo business/pleasure trip. We stayed 3 nights. The trolley stop was just up the street. Taking the trolley you can get to just about anywhere you want to go in Boston! There was a little market right across the street, restaurants nearby as well as a cool little coffee shop or two within walking distance! Weather was brutally cold outside but hotel was full of warm holiday cheer. Easy to adjust temp in room. Most of the time we didn't hear much noise while in room. A short cab ride from Logan too. I would love to return in warmer weather...surely would stay here. :)

Room Tip: 4th floor..our room was quiet and could barely notice the heating system.

Green Features: It was very easy to recycle...bins were easily located near elevators. I loved the fact that there was a main light switch near door where you could turn everything off when you went out.

My customer recommended the Residence Inn at Tudor Wharf; however due to the busy 'leaf peeper' season, and the baseball playoffs, rooms were at a premium in Boston. I was very fortunate to find that the new facility was open, and could accommodate me. I soon found out that; located at the intersection of Thomson and Congress, it was a brief two-minute walk from the Courthouse stop on the ‘T’. This was wonderful, as I did not have to rent a car, a definite plus for a city laid out like Boston. I could take the “Silver Line” SL2 to work every day, the electric/diesel bus dropped me off across the street from the shipyard. Take my word for it, Boston is not a friendly driving city for “out-of-towners”.

Take the efficient and convenient public transportation. I encouraged the staff to have a briefing with guests about the "Charlie ticket", which is a re-loadable ticket to gain access to the buses and subways for $2.50 each way. If you are arriving from Logan Airport [BOS] the SL1 is a free ride if you are "inbound" to South Station. To reach this hotel, just take the stop after the World Trade Center, which is "Courthouse". Go to the west side of the Seaport Blvd (toward the Children's Museum) and you'll find Thomson Place. Walk two blocks to the main entrance of the Marriott.

That's right folks! You don't have to pay a penny, or take a taxi-cab to get here from the airport, and it's very safe. It took me less than 25 minutes from the baggage claim to the hotel.

The Marriott location is exceptional. You’ve likely hear of someone crafting a ship in a bottle. Well the Residence Inn has built a luxury hotel inside of an old warehouse. The hotel is situated near the intersection of Thomson Place, which is the main entrance, and busy Congress St. The west entrance from Congress leads into a atrium, where twin glass sided elevators carry you up to the six floors in just seconds. The Thomson entrance is the next to the parking garage access. Walking in the door, the reception area is to the right, and the bar and breakfast seating area is to the left. It’s delightful as there are also couches aligned in clusters, so that you can carry out a semi-private discussion, while enjoying the open facility. I love the design.

There are 120 units, which have exposed beams consistent with the warehouse motif. The units are designed as an “extended stay” studios, with a full kitchen, the cookware and eatery is included. The kitchen/dining area and sitting area with a large flat screen TV which is separate from the bedroom. My unit has a huge shower, but I would have preferred to have had a tub. I’m not sure if any tub units are available. They have an excellent fitness center and a large coin laundry room for the guests on the ground floor.

Breakfast is included with the room, and has an outstanding variety of hot food, fruits, cereals as well as waffles. Some nights they put out some snacks and soft drinks. In the evening there is a full bar available, but I pale at the Boston prices, $6 for a draft beer, and just preferred to take a walk to the financial district and the Harborwalk .

The location is very convenient; The Boston World Trade Center is one stop to the south on the Silver Line, or a 10 minute walk. The “financial district” of east Boston is just a fifteen-minute walk away. New luxury hotels line Atlantic Avenue on the way to Harborwalk, Long Wharf where you can find “Legal Seafood”, “The Chart House” and the fancy wharfs that line Boston Harbor. It had been thirty-six (36) years since my last visit to ‘Beantown’ and the expansion was difficult to comprehend. The financial district now dwarfs the bay area.

Prepare to pay the “high” Boston city prices, which will range from $160’s to the $250’s. I stayed for three weeks and enjoyed every minute. I won’t wait another 36 years before returning to this world-class city.

Room Tip: Plan ahead. If there are big events in store, the rates can fluctuate. Make sure that they can accom...

This Residence Inn blew my mind!!! It is in a great location and is so unique. The rooms were unlike any RI i have ever stayed in! The designs with high ceilings and wood beams were very cool. This felt like a cool boutique style room while providing all the amenities of a typical RI. The staff was outstanding and I will certainly return here in a heart beat!! Such a cool spot!

Extended a business trip to Boston area with a weekend at this hotel. A totally different experience to what I was expecting. The building is an old factory that has been beautifully restored and very boutique like.

We had a great studio room, separate bedroom, living area and kitchen space. Bed was comfortable, but they could definitely do with better (softer and larger) towels in the bathroom. Shower was huge - a bonus!

The staff were incredibly helpful, lots of restaurants close by, great breakfast included. What makes such a difference is when the staff seem happy to greet you. Awesome.

A 3 minute walk and you were at the T - silver line, and 5 minutes took you to South Station for the Red line. A 10 minute walk and you were at the restaurant row on the seafront by the world trade center.

Fast internet (important for me)!

Only downside was the parking was expensive (but maybe not for a city person), and the parking garage was a little intimidating to use out of hours.

If I am back in Boston, I would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: you want a high floor,

The new Residence Inn Downtown/Seaport didn't exist when I started planning my trip to Boston. The moment it opened – people posted excellent reviews and beautiful photos, and I immediately knew that I was going to stay there with my family.

We had a perfect 3 day vacation at the Residence Inn:

*All the staff members were friendly and very helpful: the doorman, the excellent reception team, the employees that we met on breakfast and the cleaning ladies.

*The hotel's location is very convenient: it's less than 1 minute walk from the bus to/from the airport, and only a couple of minutes from the children's & tea party museums. Walking to the downtown area is very easy too.

*This new Residence Inn is located in a former factory: It's beautiful, stylish and very modern: The renovation job is amazing.

*Our spacious and elegant suite contained 2 adults and 2 children quite easily: It was very clean and the price was fair.

*Like in other Residence Inn hotels - there's a small gym, a laundry room, free Wi-Fi, computers and printers for the guests, and a nice breakfast. There's also free dinner (Mondays till Thursdays).

I loved staying at the Residence Inn, and I want to thank the management and the staff for the good experience.
