If traveling to Boston on business or pleasure, the new Residence Inn Back Bay/Fenway is a great place to stay. Its the closest Marriott property to Brigham & Women's Hospital and Beth Israel Medical Center, close to the financial district and conveniently located near many colleges. You can walk to some of the best restaurants in Boston and its two blocks from Fenway. The roof top bar and lounge is a great place to work, meet friends or grab a drink and watch the game. The staff is nothing short of amazing. They will go to any length to assure that you are enjoying your stay.

Room Tip: Hotel is new and I have not noticed a difference of quality.

If you are new to Boston, and want to get your college student set up in a dorm or apartment, this place is perfect. The location is convenient--right across the way from Fenway Park with many nearby restaurants within walking distance. My greatest surprise was discovering Marshall’s department store directly across the street. We purchased, bedding, dishware, pot and pans, towels, a lamp, laundry basket, etc. No lugging things into the city, and everything we purchased came at a great price.

The hotel itself is modern, clean, with a good-sized kitchen and walk-in shower. We stayed in room 522. I didn’t want to fork out additional money for a Fenway facing room, but was pleasantly surprised that we could see both the Citgo sign and Fenway Park right out our window. Breakfast was just what you expect from a Residence Inn. Fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage, make yourself waffles, etc. What impressed me at this particular location was their pastries were supplied by Flour Bakery (read the Flour Bakery story online). The pastries were made of high quality ingredients and were delicious.

In the evening, the hotel has a rooftop bar with a great view of Fenway and the city. It’s a convenient place to unwind after a busy day in Boston. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here to look at colleges. The front desk, upon our arrival, checked us in quickly and were very friendly. Shortly after we were in our room, the phone rings and it's the front desk making sure everything is ok. This is a great thing that other hotels should do.

The room was spacious with a king bed and sofa bed and a fully, stocked kitchen. It has everything you need, including toaster, dishes, dishwasher and large refrigerator. With the exception of a little bit of noise from some construction a couple of blocks away and some typical city noise, it was very quiet.

The location is excellent with tons of restaurants within walking distance including Panera, Chipotle, excellent bbque at Sweet Cheeks, a movie theater one block away and you can see Fenway Park from the hotel.

Another great feature is the 8th floor terrace overlooking the city and Fenway Park. Would definitely stay here again.

I was just there this past July. I loved the hotel! First of all, the location was amazing! I could see Fenway Park from my room! I was there on a baseball trip, so that was awesome. The rooms and hotel was clean and every single person that I encountered that worked there was very nice and helpful! I love that breakfast included, nothing out of the ordinary, but satisfying. The rooms were very spacious as well, there's a kitchen but I did not use it at all.

I selected the Residence Inn at Fenway as part of a stay-cation plan. We had tickets to the Red Sox (day game) for 4th of July and decided to arrive the night before to avoid the hassle and wake up right where we wanted to be, car parked and ready to go to the game. This hotel was THE perfect choice for us, with oversized rooms/suites that allowed our family to stretch out and a virtually brand new property so everything was clean and new - kudos to the new urban-style Residence Inn..very sleek and stylish. The location - you are literally right in the middle of Fenway action (although noise was not an issue). In addition, there are so many amazing places to eat and play immediately at your door step. There is a Bar Louis right downstairs and our favorite, Sweet Cheeks BBQ - the best and not to be missed - within a couple blocks. Kids enjoyed ice cream at Emack and Bolios up the street and the new ping pong place below Game On. We also visited Beer Works which was also very close. Other notable restaurants in the area are Island Creek Oyster Bar (the best) and Eastern Standard. While the Residence Inn is in the heart of the Fenway, it is also a great location to explore the rest of the city. We were able to walk to the T (about a 5-7 minute walk) and go to the Museum of Science and also very close to Back Bay. A couple of hidden benefits about the hotel are the pool (indoor) and while small, it was something to do while we were waiting for fireworks to start and then best of all - the near rooftop deck, with comfy seating, bar service and amazing views (I think it was on the 11th floor). We were able to see the entire Boston fireworks display from this vantage point and it was amazing. Lastly, the service was great. Front desk check-in, very friendly and helpful and the valet service was actually really fast. Yes - parking was costly, but honestly, parking at the hotel for the night was less than or at least equal to parking for a Red Sox game so we felt like we came out ahead. Breakfast was the typical buffet and somewhat crowded, with seating spilling out into the lobby but it was 4th of July so the entire area was packed. Ironically, the game was rained out that day but based on how much fun we had just being tourists in our own city we weren't even that devastated. Residence Inn Fenway - great choice - great location - clean, new, roof deck - great Boston stay.

Room Tip: High floor facing Fenway if possible
