Stopped in here with my husband after the 3rd of July (yes the 3rd) fireworks since we were just walking past. Boy were we happy with what we stumbled upon! Poe's Kitchen at the Rattlesnake has an inventive Mexican style menu, plenty of drinks to choose from, and the atmosphere is pleasant to hang around for a while. We got some drinks and chicken tacos which were a little above average; nice spice and decent portion size. But by far the star of the show was the GRILLED CORNBREAD!!! I cannot stress enough how delicious this was. The sides were beautifully crispy from the grill and they serve it with annatto oil and guadalajara butter (which might as well have had magic fairy dust in it, it was so amazing), topped with queso fresco and balsamic. I would definitely come back here for that alone. It deserves a mention as well that the staff here is outstanding. They were completely slammed due to a sudden downpour of rain and our server never missed a beat.
