My husband and I came to Boston for my birthday and a Bruins game and stayed here...we loved it! The room was beautiful and the folks at the desk were extremely helpful. We look forward to coming back soon.

Stayed here on two occasions - you can't beat it for quality and great service by the friendly staff.
A short walk from the shopping centres, but is a real oasis - quiet, great views and really relaxing.
We just loved it !

We stayed here twice - at the beginning and end of our trip to Boston and New England. We loved the personal service and quiet location with fantastic harbour views. Using the water taxi to Logan airport worked well and was a novel experience.

Boston Downtown and the North End are a short walk away so the location is excellent.

Breakfast was nice and the gym good.

Not the cheapest but we would definitely stay again in preference to the large hotels.

Found this very nice hotel based on recommendation and location. It is small and has a cosy and familiar atmosphere. The boating season is over so the marina is not so busy. But still some yahcht in the harbour makes it feel like summer vacation.
Location is perfect. Walkmg distance to main pointa in Boston.
Breakfast served in the hall to be taken to your room was simple but good enough.
I can recommend this to families and couples.
I took the watertaxi from Logan airport directly to the hotell in ten minutes.

Boston Yacht Haven is not for everyone. However, if this appeals to you, you will love it: it's small, only ten or so rooms; it's literally out on a pier in Boston Harbor; you are surrounded by water and boats; it is quiet; rooms are big and clean and nautically decorated; there is no bar or restaurant but there is a great room with a large tv, a byob bar where you can store your beverages, a beautiful pool table, and walls of windows overlooking Boston Harbor. The staff is great (extra thanks to Kevin who took care of us!), and the facility seems brand new. Airport access is AWESOME--take the free number 66 airport shuttle to the water taxi dock where you'll pick up a walkie-talkie and request a taxi, and in a few minutes a boat is there for you and takes you across the bay right to the front door of the Yacht Haven. Also, you are a very short walk to the Aquarium, Quincy Market, and Little Italy. There are lots of great bars and restaurants within a three minute walk. Also worth noting is the Golden Goose market which is a block away--you can buy beverages of all sorts, fresh fish, toiletries, imported cheeses, etc etc etc--stock up and go back to the Yacht Haven and relax. In a nutshell, the Yacht Haven is like an upscale stopover or clubhouse for boaters looking to spend a day or two in Boston. It's not fancy but it's done right and for the price, you can't find a better place to stay in Boston. We travel a lot and appreciate four star hotels, but this is now our pick in Boston. Can't wait to go back!!

I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.
We arrived 24 hours before Sandy hit landfall. The owners had upgraded us to the "penthouse" room (10) perched right on the top of the hotel with 360 degree views over Boston harbour and the city. We had been following the news reports about the progress of Sandy and were beginning to wonder if we should even be staying in Boston. When we arrived at the hotel and saw the room you cannot imagine the mixed feelings we had. On the one hand the perfect room for fantastic panormaic views of Boston Harbour and the City, on the other - wow this is pretty exposed right on the top of the hotel. We both envisaged the roof being blow off shortly followed by us in our beds. We expressed these concerns to the management and they very kindly moved us to another room in the main building which had very large wooden beams supporting the roof and felt a lot safer. What a pair of chickens but the move gave us peace of mind. I can only offer my sincerest thanks to the managment for doing this. It gave us peace of mind and a very pleasant stay.
The room we stayed in was massive (8) even by American standards; bigger than my lounge at home. The room was well equipped with a very large bed, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. The toilet / bathroom was very pleasant and the storage cupboard was large enough to stow a weeks worth of luggage. The views from the room were superb as we settled down to ride out the storm. The storm itself was very windy and the tide was lapping at the harbour wall. Some places in Boston were flooded but thankfully we were on the Northern tip of the hurricane so Boston got off very lightly unlike NY and NJ. Our prayers go out to those poor guys. The communal areas within the hotel were very well appointed with a large lounge area with TV, computer, coffee and pool table. A launderette was on site. The hotel was spotlessly clean and being a two story building (with the crows nest on top) makes for a very homely atmosphere (10 rooms in all).
Being on the harbourside the hotel is close to Boston City centre; five minutes walk to the T (Aquarium) and 15 mins to Boston Common Park. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by.
As you will know if you have read my reviews before I am a very light sleeper so the slightest noise at night disturbs me. So.......
You can hear the toilets flushing in other rooms which at 5 in the morning is a pain.
You can hear neighbours closing their room doors due to the sprung loaded action (much like other hotels these days (fire doors etc)).
You can hear planes taking off from Logan from about 5 in the morning till about 1030 at night but I suspect this is common for many hotels in Boston due to the proximity of the airport to the city centre.
Other than that what a great little hotel in a fantastic location. The owners, without a quible even reimbursed me for a $300 overcharge due to my room move.

Room Tip: If you can afford it go for room 10 - the penthouse or ask for one with a balcony and harbour view.

We loved our stay at the BYH. Our room, #8, has a wonderful view of the boats in the harbor and the city. It was very large and super comfortable. You will enjoy the Keurig coffee maker, frig and microwave in the event you decide to eat in. The shower is great, found myself staying in it longer than usual as it felt so good. In addition to the terrific decor here, you will find this location ideal for exploring the North End, all the fabulous Italian restaurants and neighborhood favorites abound here. Boston Yacht Haven is also a great spot to make your way to the Freedom Trail and follow it across the city. An historical treck not to be missed.
Loved this Inn, will definitely return.
