Description: A proper pint. A warm meal. A cozy table. This is what you can expect when you step into Sólás, a quaint neighborhood pub with modern flair. Nestled in the heart of Boston’s storied Back Bay, Sólás is the perfect spot to while away an afternoon overlooking the bustle of Boylston Street or linger over beers in our intimate dining room. Our lunch and dinner menus feature classic pub dishes with regional New England touches. A rich selection of salads and stews, and sandwiches and entrees, are enjoyed with our extensive selection of draft beers, craft cocktails and hand selected wines.

My son and I ate here as we generally like Irish Pubs. The Good: Nice pubby decor (and clean), good service, upstairs windows, not too crowded, good portion size (not too big). Good selection of draft beer. The Average: Food was average. I had the steak tips with extra veggies and no potato. My son had the shepard's pie. My green beans were desiccated and thin. Steak was cooked correctly, sauce was good. The bad: A constant stream of 70's classic rock ... I mean come on ... IRISH PUB!! Don't get me wrong, I like classic rock ... but the restaurant should fully commit to the Irish Pub thing. So overall I would say average. Everything was good but not stand out enough for me to go out of my way for a well deserved return visit (the base criteria for a better than average rating).

“Great Irish Food”

The food and drinks were fantastic. The atmosphere is fun and makes you feel like a hometown bar. A bit small for larger parties.

“Busy and bright”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014 via mobile

Ate here Easter Saturday Street crazy with marathoners and very busy but efficient staff got everyone seated and served.
Good specials but dependable pub grub. There was nothing unusual.
When we asked for a finger bowl we were asked to explain what that was. I found that very strange!!

Would recommend for basic meal out

“Great Location, Fish & Chips, and Good Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

Dined here with two co-workers on a Thursday night around 7:00pm. Had no problem getting a table. Great ambiance, have to get a Guiness and the Fish & Chips. Good service, and a great location on Boyleston Street. In the lower level of The Lennox Hotel, and only a couple blocks away from the Westin and the Courtyard. The crowd seemed mixed, half locals, and half from out of town either on business or pleasure.

“Not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 April 2014

We ate lunch twice at this pub. It is entirely satisfactory. The food is fine and so is the service. It's just not outstanding and there are better places to eat in Back Bay.
