You would have to have your own boat to find fresher oysters. This establishment's sole purpose seems to be to provide seafood basics (clams, oysters, lobsters) flawlessley prepared. Service, value, ingredients are all of the highest caliber. And it's just really pleasant to be there. If you travel to Boston, you have to go.

Awesome! Classic Boston oyster place in the very Italian North End. There was a crowd of people waiting for it to open up when I went there!

I have lived in the north end for 4 years, eaten at 100 of the 120 restaurants that are up here and I can say for seafood in the north end it's great....but if you're looking for oysters in New England this is the best place. It blows away b&g and union oyster house, not to mention every other oyster house in the east coast I know of. The ambience, the fresh/brine taste and selection of Oysters as well as the other selections on the menu were great.

I'm there once a week, waiting in a short line to sit up at the bar and sip on a great wine from their ample selection. Everytime I'm there I run into a chef of another restaurant. Just last week I saw the owner/chef of Taranta with his girlfriend/wife eating up at the bar.
