“Good convention center, made great by the Mall access”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2013

I've attended at least three conventions here, by my recollection, and this cavernous venue has worked well for all of them. It's a little hard to navigate, but the difficulty is more than compensated by your ability to enter it directly from the Prudential Plaza mall, with a gazillion places to dine and lots of shops to browse when not attending those long conference presentations. If you stay at the Sheraton Boston, you can actually attend your conference, dine, sleep, and find gifts for the folks back home without ever going outside! (This turned out to be an important issue for this February 2013 conference, when Boston was in the grip of the big storms that then raked this part of the world.)

“Great Venue, but be prepared to walk a lot!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2013

This venue was HUGE, with several large ballrooms and a good sized auditorium with tiered seating. We were here for the Irish Dancing World Championships in March-great venue for this event. Lots of clean restrooms, escalaters that always worked, huge space for vendors and to sit and eat. Best part of this venue is it's convenient location; it's attached via indoor walkways and skybridges to several big hotels (Sheraton, Marriott, Westin and more), and two or three huge shopping centers with just about any store you could ask for (except a drug store), a food court with lots of choices, and many restaurants. There was also a Crumbs bakery that did a booming business with our group and, oddly but nicely, a Catholic Chapel. Loved the fact that I was able to leave the Amtrak station on Dartmouth Street, cross the street and go into the Copley Square complex and walk all the way to the Sheraton hotel on Dalton Street without having to go outside. Hynes is huge, though, so make sure you bring comfortable shoes because even if you're just in the venue itself, you'll do a LOT of walking.

“Great venue for convention”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2013

We were here in March for the Irish Dancing World Championships. This is a very nice facility with many amenities. There are dozens of great hotels within walking distance. Both the Sheraton and the Marriott are attached and can be reached without going outside. There is an upscale shopping mall attached with a very good Food Court. Also plenty of other great shopping in the blocks surrounding the venue. There is a Trader Joe's grocery store directly across the street, which is good for snacks, fresh fruit and beverages, including wine. I commend the event organizers for picking this location.

“Helpful Staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2013

The convention center is clean and well located near Copley place and several excellent hotels and places to eat. The staff is helpful and there were a lot of employees available during the convention. There was a coat and bag check as well that helped make the conference more enjoyable. Lots of space and places to sit as well.

“Historic Convention Center”

An older facility that has been well kept and upgraded over time. Attended a recent convention and was very pleased with the experience. The easy access to the shops a the Pru and restaurants is a big plus!
