Had a great 3+ hours, staff friendly and knowledgeable, boat was good. Then 3 hump backed whales came into view, I didn't think we would get so close, got a great big ooooh from the boat.
Something quite serene and emotional about seeing them in the wild. We also saw a couple of blue sharks. If you go to Boston go on this trip, worth every penny just to see these beautiful creatures.

We had family visiting from South, so went out to look for whales.

Even with a light rain, it was a good experience. The boat was very comfortable and stable. I was a bit cold inside, so be sure to bring a sweater and a jacket if its raining.

Today our family went on the NE Aquarium Whale Watch from Boston. The boat was a fast Speed Hydro Foil that is very comfortable ride. All the whale watches along the coast of MA go to the Stellwagen banks to view the whales. Our trip today, we never made it to the Stellwagen bank but came upon a lone humpback about 10 to 15 miles outside of Boston Harbor.. We spent some time watching this beautiful creature. We never made it to the Stellwagen sanctuary because the 9 am boat never saw any and had to give all on board vouchers for another trip. They have a policy that guarantees you will see a whale. Overall a beautiful day for our family and the staff is very friendly and informative.

Help tip: Sit in the front of the boat. When you board the boat it appears to be the rear.

The brochure for the whale watching adventure made this trip look a lot more exciting. It seemed to take forever to get to the sanctuary and back. Once there two whales were spotted and everyone raced to that side of the boat. Unless you are on the front row, you can't see anything. The boat turns for each spotting, but you are pushed and crowded as everyone tries to see. You should have to pick and side and stay....the boat turns so everyone should be able to see. Although seeing humpback whales was nice......they are under water so you have to wait for them to come to the surface.....for like 10 sec. Then wait again for them to show up somewhere else.

Since this was a sanctuary, I expected to see more than just 2 whales.....that did everything at the same time. At the end if the tour, the guide told use how to see the whales under the water.....that would have been nice to know at the beginning of the tour.....Maybe the experience could have been better.

Overall cool that I got to see wild whales, but I wouldn't pay to do it again.
