With so much to do in Boston, it is easy to forget about the BSO unless you are a subscriber. it is easy to get tickets at the last minute and anywhere you sit in the acoustically perfect Symphony Hall will be excellent. The programs are varied, so you can experience music you already know you like along with something to stimulate your musical taste. For us, after not going to the BSO for years, it is like a new found treasure.

My husband took me to the concert for my birthday and it was excellent! They had a guest pianist and the Rachmaninoff piece was superb!

The 2014 season will welcome a new conductor, Andris Nelsons. We are all looking forward to the arrival of this young and dynamic conductor. Boston Symphony Hall is beautiful and the acoustics are superb.

One of the great orchestras in the world. Not only Symphony Hall in Boston but Tanglewood is a place to go in the summer. This is where the Boston Symphony spends the summer. Put it on your bucket list. Take a blanket, a bottle of wine and listen to the music under the stars - perhaps a vision of heaven.

One of the world's most famous orchestras. Performances generally at Symphony Hall, which in itself is worth visiting.
Actual performance quality varies, as there are frequent guest conductors, and there are many combinations of musicians who could play on any given day. I have never had a BAD performance; I have experienced GREAT performances and DULL performances.
Side gallery seats at Symphony Hall are cheaper, and sound quality is good.
