“Nice pre xmas dinner”
Reviewed 21 December 2013

Decided the wife and I would check out Sorellina Restaurant. I did see that there were alot of good reviews on Tripadvisor so decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint. It was a little pricer then we normally spend on your meals mind you. I had the Rib Eye, I think is was $40 my wife had a pasta dish made with lamb, it was a little less expensive. We ordered the Cabernet from Napa, which went down very nice with our meals. And we shared a chocolate hazelnut dessert which was very tasty. The deco was nice and it was bustling in the place Service was friendly but not extremely fast, although we were in no rush! Would go back....

“Our first visit to this masterpiece”
Reviewed 17 December 2013 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

Each member of our four top had totally different first courses and entrees and we each professed this as one of our best dining experiences ever. In terms of quality, Sorrelina is definitely on the same level as Menton and L'Espalier. But Sorrelina also offers a richer experience. The bar scene is in the restaurant, but not too noisy. The restaurant was full, but the tables are well spaced. And the service was correct and knowledgeable. Definitely worth a return visit.

“Excellent Upscale Italian”
Reviewed 10 December 2013

We love the North End red gravy places, but we also love excellent Northern Italian places that get it right, and Sorellina is terrific. Nice vibe atmosphere just off Copley Sq,, nice bar, comfy seating, and really good food! Loved the burrata, and a terrific macheronelli dish with four great Wagyu meatballs, long small tubular pasta, and perfectly reduced brown sauce. Wow! On my list of Ten Best Pastas! Nice white truffle fettucine. Top drawer service by our waitress Song. Perfect amicable and knowlegable service at its best. We had a nice Righetti Amarone 2010 for $95. My one drawback recommendation is that the wine list needs a realistic reduction to retail. 2x is pushing it. That was as good as you could do on this list. 3x, like many choices here, gets my goat. Come on guys, bring them down to reasonable to match your otherwise great place! We shall return.

“Service didn't own up to the wonderful food.”
Reviewed 21 November 2013 via mobile

There is no doubt that Sorellina has an outstanding chef. Everything ordered by a party of eight was absolutely delicious and beautiful eye food. The carpaccio was unusually made from venison and was superb. Equally unusual was the saltimbocca, a veal presentation that almost resembled a classic filet wrapped in pancetta. It was marvelous. The two of us who ordered that had plates that didn't even need a dishwasher they were cleaned so thoroughly. The problem was that the service was very spotty. Our server was pleasant enough, but our drinks were not brought out at the same time, the last arriving fully ten minutes after the first. Ditto for the main courses. Several of us waited for several minutes for the rest to get their entrees. For desert, one of our party waited for five minutes to get cream after the coffee was delivered. When your entrees are up into the $40+ range this is completely unacceptable.
