“Good Location, Clean Rooms, and Stylish Lobby”
Reviewed 4 December 2013

Arrived and valet took my car. It took a few minutes for the valet to come out to the car, but the service was pretty good, although it was very expensive at $46/day. I was very disappointed to find out that that day there was some "emergency" in the kitchen, and there was no food in the bar, restaurant, or room service. I arrived at 8 pm and was looking forward to eating at the bar and relaxing the the very stylish lobby and bar. I had to go out and find a place to eat outside. The good part is that at least there are numerous eateries very close to the hotel. The location is nice on the water, and good views as well. The rooms were very clean, but nothing too fancy. It looked a lot like a Marriott. The bathroom had nice Aveno amenities. Too bad these hotels at this level still do not offer free wifi in the rooms. A bottle of water in the room was $4, where I would expect it to be complimentary as an elite member of Marriott. It is frustrating that Marriott nickels and dimes for these basics...

Room Tip: A higher floor will offer better views.

Went here for a Thanksgiving get away. This hotel is nothing special. Beds are uncomfortable. Sounds like the walls are paper thin. You can hear whats going on in neighboring rooms. Parking is expensive. Bar area is small and service wasn't that great. Great location in the summer, not in the winter.

Roomy rooms. Nice location, close to several lovely waterfront restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good bar. Excellent views of the water. Wasn't too happy with the valet service though it cost quite a lot. It took too long for the car to be brought around. we were worried our car might have been stolen from wherever it was parked. I wish we could have self parked on the property.

We booked two rooms for one night. Hotel is very clean. Very quiet and the rooms are beautiful. We always stayed at the seaport hotel, but for nearly 1/2 the price we will be staying at the Renaissance from now on. We used the pool, hot tub and had a night cap at the lobby bar. The amenities were great and my daughter loved the Starbucks in the lobby. Beds are super comfy. We checked in early and checked out late. The staff was very very nice. We had breakfast at J.Pace around the corner, very weird place, but the food was super yummy and very cheap! We look forward to going back!!

I have stayed at this property 6-8 times over the past year. It's always good...perfect for the business traveler but also good for families (I've done both). Housekeeping keeps things spotless and the club lounge is fantastic with beautiful views. Great beds with lots of pillows and my wife loves the Aveda products they stock in the bathrooms. I'll keep returning.

Room Tip: Go for the higher floors...some have great views. If you like planes...floors 14 and up have Logan...

Stayed at this hotel with my husband and children for a recent convention. Having lived in Bosotn for many years, I wouldn't recommend either the hotel or the area unless proximity to the convention center is very important.

We arrived at about 6pm on a Thursday evening. Nobody greeted us or offered to help us with our luggage. Our room was average and didn't have enough towels for four of us. I called twice before receiving extras. As someone else mentioned, the restaurant was closed and the food provided in the bar was expensive and very average. Our table was dirty, my wine glass was chipped, and out appetizers and main courses all arrived together. The concierge was never available and other staff were polite but uninterested and as we left, we were again offered no assistance with our luggage or fining a cab.

I wouldn't go back to the hotel again and I wasn't very impressed with the area generally. Restaurants are expensive, public transport is virtually non existent and there is no drugstore or grocery store anywhere nearby. You have to walk almost a mile int Boston for anything. I didn't mind, as I know the city well, but it's odd for an up and coming area. Disappointing overall and will stay in the city and walk or cab to the convention center next time.

Excellent hotel located in a great part of Boston. Staff is knowledgable and friendly. Rooms are large and well decorated, with adequate lighting in bathroom. Restaurant was under renovation. Buffet meals available in bar area only.

Room Tip: Most rooms have a good view of the city, but higher floors are best.
