Four Seasons Hotel Boston

Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 10 September 2012

Stayed here for 4 nights in a Deluxe Room. Room was decent in size with a good writing desk and very comfortable four seasons signature bed.

The hotel was originally built in 1985 and the rooms have been renovated since but the rooms really do need a complete refresh including the toilets. There are no separate showers and the toilet is beginning to look very old.

Service was very good with smiles from everyone that worked there. The hotel also offered a complimentary coffee bar in the lobby from 5:30-7:30 am and I thought that was a really good idea.

I would stay at the property again but I really do wish they consider renovations soon.

From the moment I booked online, I was completely taken care of. The concierge(s) were willing to handle my car reservations via email and even to make changes that way too. EVERYTHING about my experience was EEI - Elegant, Exquisite and Irresistible!

We love EEI: a fantastic compliment expressed in a fun way - thank you! We’re so happy to know you were well taken care of from the first moment onward. We trust you had the chance to take advantage of our exciting offerings including the Pool and Fitness Center and a meal at the buzzing Bristol Lounge; and if not, perhaps those can be on the agenda for your next stay. Thank you again for the EEI compliment...we're so pleased!

I am not sure what I can add that other TA contributors have already noted. I will say the positive comments are all true - and this Four Seasons delivers the level of service one expects from FS.

To further accent - I will second the splendid location. The immediate location to the Boston Common park is exceptional. I had no idea the park was directly across the street - and after finishing with my business on one afternoon - the park was a very easy and refreshing walk from the front door of the hotel. It couldn't be closer! If memory serves...Boston Common is the oldest city park in the US and shouldn't be missed.

During my stay I had two meals in the room. They both were exceptional, and were served almost to the minute that the initial call had indicated. Four Seasons is just exceptional at delivering a very comfortable experience and this property is consistent with that fine level of service. I will return to this property.

I stay in a lot of hotels for business but the Four Seasons in Boston was an excellent choice for our family vacation. They had all sorts of games & goodies for our two children and the staff greeted them by name. I will make it a point to visit the other Four Seasons Hotels in the future.

I have stayed at several hotels in Boston in several neighborhoods. This was my favorite location and the best of the hotels. Our room faced the Commons. It was quieter than I expected (knowing there would be street noise anywhere), and there was no room-to-room noise and very little hallway noise. We were there for three nights, just visiting the city and taking in a Sox game before driving up to Vermont to visit friends at their cabin. The concierge service was terrific, the desk, bell, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were friendly. The restaurant was very good -- we had breakfast every day and two lunches there by choice. I look forward to going back to Boston so we can stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms above the 4th floor are probably a little better insulated from traffic noise.

What a joy to read your review! We are elated that you had such a fantastic stay at Four Seasons Boston – and above all, that the service was top notch. We hope you had the chance to enjoy The Bristol Lounge’s homemade pastas, salads, New England seafood specialties and perhaps even the famous Bristol Burger too – just some of our favorite dishes. We’re already looking forward to your return trip to Boston; it would be a pleasure to host you again in the future.
