We recently used the Omni Parker House hotel in Boston for a business event with 30+ people attending. The hotel was great, staff was very helpful and the event when off without a hitch. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is beautiful and located right on the Freedom Trail. It's right in the heart of North Boston and a quick walk or cab ride away from anything you'd want to see. It was 15 minutes from the airport. The rooms are small (but that's expected in a major city) and cozy, decorated beautifully and everything is clean! We loved our stay and will be back. We had our anniversary dinner at Parker's Restaurant in the hotel and it was FABULOUS! They went out of their way to make sure our dinner was special and everyone was really nice.

My husband secured our reservation through Priceline. I had no idea just what an amazing deal a stay at the Parker House would be. We just checked out this morning and we are have voted this trip of the year! The hotel is on the Freedom trail, steps from Boston Common, close to shopping at Copley and on Newbury Street, and around the corner from Faneuil Hall. Staff is top notch, we enjoyed VERY early check in, and the history of both the hotel and surrounding area is awe inspiring. The biggest surprise was the fitness center. Large, functional, and almost always had an attendant checking in to make sure the center was tidy and equipped with towels and fruit. Will definately return!

Umm...what an awful hotel.

I'll start with the positives. It's well located, nice lobby...yep, that's it.

The bad?
1. My wife called me from the room. I live in NYC and therefore the call was long distance. It lasted 21 seconds and cost $14.95
2. The internet is partially based on MB rate! I've never seen a hotel do this. $9.95 for 3MB and $14.95 for 6mb. Oh, and that's per day. How much can you nickle and dime your customers?
3. The rooms are microscopic.
4. It is virtually impossible to control the temperature in the winter. The room was stifling hot when we arrived. We turned off the heat, and it was still hot. We eventually had to turn the air conditioning on! In last November!
5. $40 a night for parking and it takes 20-30 minutes to get your car. I know parking in cities is expensive, but 30 minutes? Come on guys.
6. Both the concierge and the valet guys were kind of rude and unpleasent on the phone. It was a bit jarring actually! Just short, impatient, and none of that phony polite customer service stuff we're all so used to.

The hotel is just a bummer. For that price, I'm used to fairly good customer service, comfortable rooms that are large enough to turn around in and not half an hour to get your forking car.

And seriously, $14.95 for a 21 second call? Ridiculous!

Seasoned travelers know that hotel rates for long distance service cab be high so we work with our guests on moderating fees when their concerns are brought to our attention at check-out. As to the valet parking retrieval delay, there have been numerous underground utility excavations in our immediate area within the past week and a half that have contributed to delays. While unfortunate, these issues were beyond our control and have now been rectified. We understand the frustration people feel when their vehicles take longer to arrive than expected and apologize for this experience.

Stayed at the Omni from nov 21 to 23. Third time in Boston and decided to try the historic Omni. Love it from the beginning to the end. Arrived before 11am and my room was ready. Best bed ever. Was in the 10 floor extremely quiet area. Front desk service, concierge,Parker Rest waitress all 5 stars. Excellent location walked to Quincy Markey,Little Italy,BostonCommons , stores on Washington st and the Theater District. Taxis available and Mr Jackson at the entrance from School St A plus Service....Will be back in 2014. Continue with the 5 stars service.

Visited Boston recently on business and spent three nights at the historic Omni Parker House Hotel. The location couldn't be better for history buffs as it is within short walking distance from Boston Commons and several iconic Revolutionary War landmarks, and a block and a half from the subway. The hotel was comfortable and the staff helpful and cooperative. Only down side is that the rooms are quite small owing to the fact that this is one of the original hotels in Boston. There was barely enough room for the bed, a small desk and a chest of drawers. The bathroom was really tight with the toilet right up against the wall and less than a foot or so from the tub. Didn't eat in the restaurant but the menu in the bar is fairly limited. Lots of excellent pubs and restaurants within walking distance, though.

If I ever visit again or recommend a hotel to anyone I know going to Boston I would definetely tell them to stay at the OMNI Parker House. It was close to so many things that you could walk to and so much history. The beds were great and the rooms were small by very comfortable. I loved it.
