“Great Location, Decent Price”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

Spent two nights here in late June. Speedy check in. We used the $40/day valet parking. Not cheap, but well worth the expense. Great parking/bellhop/concierge staff - everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had a king executive room (with a pullout sofa) since there were three of us. Huge room; nicely appointed, but a very small bathroom. Pricey overall, but it is a classic hotel in the heart of the city. Easy walk to Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall, the Commons, the "T," and lots of historical sites. Biggest complaint is $10/day for internet access. In this day and age, internet should be complimentary almost everywhere, especially when you're already paying premium prices.

We came for a family trip and wanted to stay downtown to be able to walk everywhere. The hotel offered that and so much more. From the wonderful service ..1st rate so helpful and very clean. And so full of history. A must and the absolute best Boston cream pie (according to my kids). We loved the Parker House and will go again when we visit Boston in the future.

great hotel, exceptional service all around. You can walk to just about everywhere in Boston. PArking your car was a tad high $40 a day, but you don't need your car at all once there. The in house restaurants and bars are excellent. The lobby is a timeless architecture indeed.

I stayed here for a meeting, and didn't pay myself for the stay. The restaurant is great, though pricy, both for breakfast and dinner. The decor is lush. My room was the size of my home walk-in closet, and, unlike my closet, it had no place to hang clothes. I would have expected a hanger for the price that these rooms go for. As to temperature control (A/C, this being July), setting the temp to 74 was a bit warm and dropping to 73 was like a refrigerator.

Overall my experience at this hotel was positive. I would make sure your reservation is correct when you check in. They charge an Early Departure Fee that is more than the cost of one night's stay. A great location for visiting the historic sites.

What a beautiful hotel, in a fabulous location. The history on the street and in the hotel combine a truly unique experience. The moment you step into the lobby you realize you are in a well cared for histoical hotel. It is grand and warm and comforting. Many people would be sitting reading a paper, and waiting on friends. There is plenty of shops and history right outside the front door as well. Yes, the rooms are small in comparison to the huge rooms of modern times, however they are historically accurate. Rooms big enough for all you truly need. My only complaint is the airfreshener they use in the rooms. It is way too strong and if you have asthma, you may want to let them know in advance so they can prepare your room. I actually asked to be moved to a room with a bathroom window, so I was able to allow for some fresh air to come in. However most rooms the windows were bolted shut. They were very understanding, and quick to help me.

Room Tip: 1254 had a window in bathroom you could open... Isabella Gartner Museum in Fenway Park, fabulous!

Yes, the Boston cream pie was invented in this hotel and you can still sit and enjoying tasting one. This hotel is located in an excellent location for seeing many of the historical sites. There are also many delicious restaurants in walking distance. It is very quaint and the hotel has lots of character. No complaints of any kind.
