Stayed 2 nights, mid-week, on a quick getaway. Hotel staff friendly and helpful (let us check out 2 rooms and pick; had a bit of trouble with wi-fi connection, tech there in 5 min to fix). King room was comfy and clean, if a bit small (hey, its an old, historic hotel in a city!). Great location - 1 block from Gov Ctr "T" sta and 2 blocks from State St sta. Easy walk to Aquarium, Quincy Mkt, & Boston Common to name a few. Hotel has JFK history and is on Freedom Trail. Lots of places with good food in the area - no need to spend $$$ in the hotel. Last Hurrah in the lobby is a great place to relax after a long day of sighseeing. Deals can be had on room rates. Free wireless in lobby, not room, unless you are a member of Omni Select (free & IMHO, worth it). Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We had a great stay at the Omni Parker House. Yes, the rooms are small and we expected that. We thought the room was very nice and I wish I could have brought the bed back home with me. We had breakfast in the dining room each of the three mornings and the food and service was excellent. They even have the famous Boston Cream Pie available at breakfast if you wish, but I couldn't get enough of the pancakes and French toast. Highly recommended. Will stay there again next time I'm in Boston, hopefully for a marathon.

Did you know that the Omni Parker House is the home of the origional Boston Creame Pie AND the Parker House Rolls? and the Oldest Hotel in the country? SO cool. Learned this on the freedom trail! the hotel is very nice, rooms small but they have everything you need, with cozy bed and coffee in room. Very strategic location for travelers. We used the T once to get to the Fenway area, but the Hotel is in the middle of everything else. Love it. Highly recommend for Vacation travel.

We arrived at the Omni and were immediately greeted by Joe, one of the doormen. He loaded our bags on a cart and escorted us into the reservation desk. Check in was quick and the front desk staff was friendly. The hotel lobby is exquisite with the ambience one would expect from the early days. Ornate crown molding adorns the walls. Our room was on the 4th floor room 462; we didn’t have a view but didn’t need one because the view in the room itself was fabulous with two beds, a sofa sleeper, two chairs, a desk, two closets, a small changing room. While the bathroom was small it worked fine for the four of us. The bathroom was very nice and clean. We parked at the Post Office parking garage, it’s in walking distance to the hotel. The cost was $9 from Saturday evening until Monday morning as compared to the $40 per day for Omni valet parking. Stop in at the Parker Lounge for famous Boston cream pie you won’t regret it.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The Valet parking was excellent as was the check-in. Everything seemed to do downhill from there. We had booked a junior suite. We were brought up to a room that was no bigger than a large closet and very dark. After requesting a better room we were brought to another suite that was acceptable in size but was very dark and gloomy. All of the suites are on the side of the building that faces directly onto another building making the rooms very dark and there is absolutely no view ! The bathroom was ridiculously small. The room layout was incomprehensible, we tried to move the furniture around to make more space but some items were bolted down. Three times we were given the wrong information from the hotel's concierge, once about a restaurant, once about store opening hours and another time about not telling us about closures of certain sights on Mondays. The hotel location is fabulous, right on the Freedom Trail. There are many other well situated hotels in the old Boston to choose from rather than this dreary old musty hotel.

We are sorry to read of your disappointing experience at the Omni Parker House Hotel. Being over 155 years old, our hotel existed long before a number of buildings which have since been built and unfortunately, we have little control over the expansion of the city and the impact they have on our views. With respect to decor - granted we are not to everyone's taste. It is our sincere hope that your experience with us did not mar an otheriwise enjoyable visit to Boston

Luckily we had only booked 1 night at this Hotel and the rest at Hotel Marlowe (great hotel). We arrived to the Hotel after a very long flight and was told at check in that the room that we had paid for wasn´t available. We had booked a two bed room, and was than given a room with a queen bed. So we didn´t have a good sleep in this tiny bed. The room was also very small, also the bathroom. And the wiew of the room was towards a backyard.
This is a hotel I will never return to, I have stayed in 2 star hotels that is more comfortable than this hotel was.

Best tip for this place is to sign up for the hotel "select guest" program. It's free online and they give you free drinks (brought us 5 water bottles and hot chocolate for five every morning!!) and newspaper every morning. The water came in really handy. Don't bother with the 1 liter Evian bottles they try to sell you for $6 in the room. Go to the 7 eleven down the block and get a gallon for $1.99 and just refill the free bottles they give you in the morning with the select guest program.

Another great tip is to get the packages. We did the Freedom Trail package and it was a good bargain. Room is originally $453 per night but we got it for $280 and it came with buffet breakfast every morning for 5, freedom trail tour (only for 4), backpack activities for the kids and an executive suite with 2 doubles, sofa bed, and we got an extra roll away so all the kids got their own bed.

Be prepare for tiny bathroom. Only one at a time. Housekeeping is slow but once they do come they do a nice job, especially with turndown service, which again, is free with select service...you normally have to request this but they do it automatically for you if you're a select member and on the first night they even bring cookies and milk for the kids. Nice touch.

Walls are thin and you can hear doors slamming and traffic outside but we were so exhausted from days' activities and time change that we still slept fine. Our bed was a little lopsided but still soft and comfortable. OH, and the table at breakfast, now that I think about it, was also lopsided. Interesting...

Location was awesome. You can pretty much walk everywhere. If it wasn't summer and the heat wasn't so fierce, we would have walked alot more. Freedom trail is literally outside your door and the frog pond, marketplace, playgrounds, merry-go-rounds, and
such are around every corner.

Do the duck tour. Worth it to get a good overview. Do it early in the trip so you can get a lay of the land early on. Didn't have time to do the science museum but everyone seemed to be telling us to go.
