My boyfriend and I stayed at The Revere Hotel for the 4th of July weekend. I have nothing bad to say about it. It was beautiful, clean and accommodating. The location was perfect. Did I mention the bed was so comfortable I actually miss it; not the typical hotel bed for sure. I hope everyone has the same experience as we did. Boston was a beautiful city that I hope to visit again.

We stayed at the Revere Hotel in the beginning of July as a family of 5. I did not see any family negative reviews on TA about bringing children to the hotel, so with a cheaper price than many other hotels, I booked it. What a mistake! On 3 separate occasions, there was a minimum 15 person line for the elevators. There were 4 elevators and all were working!!

I did not realize this was a "party hotel" and that is my bad for not researching more intently, but the pool is closed to children after 4pm and the hallways smelled like vomit 24/7. I am not sure if the heavy aromatherapy smell in the lobby was a cover for the hallway smell, but it did not work.
The LOUD group of girls on our floor were not discreet with how they were not dressed properly to walk in between rooms in a hallway with other people and also while waiting for the elevators that ALWAYS took forever.

I must say that the rooms we had were properly insulated from most sound in the hallway. At least we had a good nights rest. Overall, NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY HOTEL. If you are single or a young couple, this may be the hotel for you.

The location was great and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and experience.

Booked 2 rooms for a 4 night stay for 4 people on a holiday visit to Boston. Hotel rooms are first class with very little that could be done to improve on. Reception welcome was good with welcome glass of champagne and free Wi-Fi included in the stay.

Only down side was our experience of the leisure facility. Staff are too quick to close the roof top bar area as soon as the slightest threat of rain occurs. In some cases the bar was closed and rain never actually fell. Shame because the area is nice and offers excellent views across the city and is a nice venue to relax and enjoy a drink, but not to be quickly ushered out because a spot of rain comes on. To reserve the private seating area is expensive and needs reviewed for value for money.

I would use this hotel again if visiting Boston.

The Revere was well located for the Commons, walking the Freedom Trail, and taking the T to Fenway. Joe the door attendant was especially helpful, a nice guy. The restaurant right next to the hotel, Rustic Kitchen, was very nice. Comfortable bed, nice lounge chair, theatre inspired pictures were better than usual hotel fare. I would recommend this hotel for a downtown stay in Boston! The pool area was very nice with the rooftop patio. Looked like the night club on site was very popular, but we were usually so tired from our full days of activities we never made it.

Kat L, thank you so much for your great feedback! It certainly sounds like you had a very busy couple of days in Boston! Hopefully the next time you return you will be able to stop by and enjoy Emerald! They open daily at 430pm, serving a light menu and specialty cocktails.

Thanks again!

We stayed here back in March, and I wrote a glowing and deserving review. Naturally, when an event came in Boston up that we planned on attending in July, we reserved a room at the Revere, our new favorite spot. Well...not so much anymore. When we arrived we learned that despite making a reservation a couple of months ago, that they sold our room and we would have to go to another hotel. They made the arrangements and promised to cover the cost, but that did not assuage the sting of this kind of treatment. I'm 63 and have been traveling for some time, and I never had this happen. This is why you make reservations: so you can choose where you stay based on your plans, and, at times, make plans based upon the location of your stay. Now we were being told to "walk."

Besides the callousness of being given "the walk" there is the inefficiency of not telling us until we walked in, bags in hand. In this day of email, cell phones, and texting there is no excuse for
providing no advanced warning whatsoever. They had time to time to type up a letter ahead of time to tell us of the situation, but nobody had the sense or civility to send us an email or call us to give us a head-up. That is bush league service plain and simple.

They did a good job rebuilding this hotel to make it nicer. A few things remain, like no a/c in the halls which means individual units in each room. The lobby is very nice, but no real place to hang out since the restaurant is located across the guest drop drive way. The concierge was very helpful. The rooftop is really a bar with 4 cabanas next to the indoor pool. Nice but has full sun in afternoon, so very hot and strange furniture. It wasn't crowded at all. Overall a nice stay while we took in 4th of July festivities. Good location, we walked to many good restaurants, Boston Common, and downtown historic district.

Mjpsr11 thank you so much for your comments! Im glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at the Revere Hotel! In regards to seating space in our lobby, we have 4 different areas where guests make themselves more then comfortable; three in front of our front desk and one across from the concierge. That is not including our giant center sculpture that is one of the main focal points in our lobby. It is surrounded by beautiful white granite bench-like seats, where guests are always found taking photos or enjoying a complimentary beverage during Libation Thursdays. Every Thursday, in addition to our guests receiving a complimentary glass of champagne during check-in if they are to arrive to the hotel between 430pm-630pm they also have the opportunity to enjoy a tasting of a complimentary surprise cocktail. Then are invited to Emerald Lounge for light bites and other tastings of our promotional beverage of the day!

Thanks again!

Great location! We could walk to many sites.
The lobby of the hotel is a bit pretentious and the scent is overwhelming. We checked in early and they held our bags which was great. So since we were already checked in, we were not prepared for our room not being ready at 3 PM. Took
some time to get it sorted out.
The room was nice overall, but had some cheap elements. Liked the balcony on our high floor. The view was terrific!
