The hotel tagline reads: "[an] exceptional upscale boutique...where your needs are not just met, but exceeded, and where extraordinary takes center stage". This was misleading to say the least. Our needs were neither met nor exceeded, and if anything, the room and service were the definition of ordinary. A hotel that uses luxury in its description should never falter on the basics; we didn't have our room cleaned, there was no duvet cover on the stained down comforter, there was no refrigerator, the air conditioner malfunctioned and made it either boiling hot or ice cold, and above all, our request for a crib was never met. We should only have to make one request, and that we had to do so three times without success, is unacceptable. When you consider how many other upscale hotel options there are in Boston, there is absolutely no reason to recommend this place. When you first entered the hotel, the lobby was pleasant and inviting, but it turned out to be the lipstick on the pig.
