I really don't understand where all of the positive reviews come from for this hotel.
My company is paying $350.00 a night for my room at the revere. The hotel lobby is interesting but filth is always on the floor and in the corners -- a sure sign that the hotel is in a state of neglect.

The bathrooms contain nailed down soap and shampoo dispensers that persist in the room from guest to guest -- that's not a sanitation problem at all is it? It's worse than a motel.

Oh would you like heat in your room. Sorry just turn the thermostat up to 78 degrees and STILL continue to shiver. And how about a hot shower before you head to the office in the morning ? Nope -- forget that too.

I will NEVER stay at this place again.

It's a filthy, poorly maintained, thin-walled, over-priced dump.

Room tip: If you have the misfortune to stay in this dump, avoid rooms near the elevator. 1803 has thermostat issues -- avoid it.

It is disappointing to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Please accept my apologies, on behalf of my team, if we fell below our standard of cleanliness on this occasion. We can understand any frustrations that you must have been feeling when both the heat and hot water weren’t working properly. We wish we had the opportunity to address these concerns while you were still staying with us, as we would have been more than happy to relocate you to another room. We regret that we may have missed the opportunity to welcome you again and hope you’ll consider being our guest again.

The hotel tagline reads: "[an] exceptional upscale boutique...where your needs are not just met, but exceeded, and where extraordinary takes center stage". This was misleading to say the least. Our needs were neither met nor exceeded, and if anything, the room and service were the definition of ordinary. A hotel that uses luxury in its description should never falter on the basics; we didn't have our room cleaned, there was no duvet cover on the stained down comforter, there was no refrigerator, the air conditioner malfunctioned and made it either boiling hot or ice cold, and above all, our request for a crib was never met. We should only have to make one request, and that we had to do so three times without success, is unacceptable. When you consider how many other upscale hotel options there are in Boston, there is absolutely no reason to recommend this place. When you first entered the hotel, the lobby was pleasant and inviting, but it turned out to be the lipstick on the pig.

Room tip: Find another hotel: with the amount of "luxury" options in Boston, you can do better.

We strive to provide our guests with an extraordinary stay and regret that we fell short of this goal on this occasion. Your satisfaction is our highest priority and we never like to learn when a guest leaves our hotel feeling disappointed. It is clear that we fell below your expectations and for that, we apologize. Your feedback is invaluable to us as it gives us the opportunity to continuously improve upon our service standards. We agree that we should have provided you with a crib after your first request and the lack of customer service that you received is disappointing. We hope you’ll allow us another chance to regain your confidence in our services.

Had a great stay there, it's conveniently located close to shopping streets so no taxi needed for that. Had an issue with a party going on in the room above me but I called the front desk and they had security deal with it immediately. Love the rooms and the views of the city. A great stay.

The Revere is a lovely, modern hotel. Walking distance to the Commons and to nearly every good theater in town. The hotel staff is friendly and attentive and the food is high quality. I loved the beds...so very comfortable, in a clean spacious room. Bathrooms are nice too, with fluffy bathrobes and towels.
