Stayed here with my family over the weekend. Good place to stay if you want to catch a Sox game. Easy walk to the Fen. Friendly staff. Gigantic hotel with conferences, weddings etc.. going on concurrently. Room was nice, clean.

First visit to Boston, Copley Square area recommended by friend who lives near by. We chose the Sheraton over the Westin or Marriott, due to the price was about $100 less per night. The rooms were very nice, albeit a bit small, but clean and what you would expect from a Sheraton. Ok for two people, don't think I would recommend for a family or for a few women traveling together, since bathroom was also small.
The large lobby was full of people but the check in process was easy and the staff very friendly, including the conceirge desk. There are a few restaurants nearby which made it easy to grab breakfast and also a "5 napkin burger" restaurant that served probably the best burger I've ever had. For a local experience, be sure to check out Bukowski Bar a block away. They were open with food after a late Red Sox game. Old Town Trolley tour stops directly in front of the hotel, which you can ride to the Harbor Area, and Newbury Street with great shopping and restaurants with outside seating reminiscent of Europe line the sidewalks.
You can walk to The Boston Public Library, (a must see), The Boston Gardens, Boston Common, Trinity Church, and of course Fenway. The area is about a $12 cab ride to The North End if you are considering having dinner there, which I would also recommend.I would definitely stay at the Sheraton again.*** Yes, parking is $40 per day and there is no free wi-fi. I used my 3G on my phone instead.

The updates on the rooms were great. The view from the higher floors were fantastic. Nothing like seeing Fenway and the Charles river. Check-in can be long if there are a lot of conventions booked. Though the employees are very accommodating and helpful..The concierge floor is nice. Though they can run late in getting the food out. The cash bar isn't that convenient. Breakfast was not that good. There were only breads, fruits and pastries. The room and bathroom were very clean..The pool is covered. Though there is a retractable roof I don't think it is used. there is a nice sunning area with tables and lounges.

Room Tip: Higher floors have good views and a express elevator.

Dear ann v,
Thank you for your review. I'm pleased that overall your stay was a pleasant one. The bar on the Club level has to be a cash bar I'm afraid based on state laws. Let us know if there is something you'd like to see for breakfast, suggestions are how we improve! GMAngelaVento@sheraton.com.

Everything was good. I didn't fall in love with the place since the place is HUGE and therefore somewhat impersonal. It's like going to the Cheesecake Factory down the street, efficient, predictable, but not particularly exiting.

+ The Staff in the lobby. The two persons I met were GREAT.
+ The room was very small, but efficient
+ Location is Excellent
+ Good safe...Always appreciated
+The In Hotel Store. Surprisingly Useful.

- The Staff in the bar. If they could manage to be just a bit more grumpy, they would start to enter Soup Nazi Territory, but unfortunately they weren't grumpy enough to stimulate the masochist in mean, instead the bar just hovered in Drearyland
- The Breakfast Buffé. Just stay away, it's depressing. I ate there the first day and then just bought a sandwich in the StarBucks.
- No cotton tops of Shoe Shine items. That's a bit cheap to me, as a business traveller, I take that for granted.

Great location for Fenway- it's just a brief walk. It was reasonably priced as far as Boston hotels go and pretty nice inside. They were really nice and let me check in early, despite there obviously being a ton of people leaving at that time and it was difficult to be able to make work. Good service, good location for Fenway, and reasonable price for Boston. I was happy to have stayed there. Parking is ridiculously expensive at their hotel ($40 self-park/$50 valet park) and I think every hotel should have free wi-fi (which they don't) so those would be my complaints.
