Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean rooms. Location is pretty central to everything and public transit is easy with the Arlington Station nearby. They also have a complimentary car service if you need to suddenly be somewhere.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind review, we are thrilled you enjoyed your stay at the Taj during your recent trip to Boston. Our central location is one of the great features of our hotel, as we are just a few steps from Newbury Street at the Public Garden. As for the Boston destinations not within walking distance of the Hotel, we do have complimentary Jaguar service for all guests. Thank you for choosing at Taj Boston; we hope to welcome you back in the near future.

Sincerely,

Taj Boston Management

Spent a weekend there and had a good experience. This older hotel, newly in the hands of Taj, has a great location. Views onto the Boston Common are endless. Nice neighborhood and ambiance. But the rooms need an upgrade. Carpets are aging, and bathrooms are in need of full makeover. Service was very good and all staff were helpful. But i was supposed to get free WI-fi and it appeared on my bill. When i pointed out my connection with the Leaders Club the charges were reversed. I also had some trouble with the computer in the business center, which staff fixed promptly. They also offered to print my boarding pass for me. I declined only because there are so many different choices at check-in on some airlines. Our room was large, quiet, and nicely decorated and the bed comfortable, but the heat temperature was too high at night and lowering the thermometer did not help. I expect more from a 5 star.

Room Tip: Park side had nice views and were not noisy.

I had never been to this venue when it was a RItz-Carlton; but, the Taj management has made this into a truly elegant hotel in the classic sense. The rooms have been recently updated and are quite spacious. The lobby lounge, though expensive, gives a very good pour. The value for money of the rooms is uite high. Definitely worth a stay!

The Taj Boston is a beautiful classic hotel located in the best of neighborhoods. It is directly across the street from the expansive and lush Boston Public Garden Park and is within walking distance to most historical sites, museums, and shopping. We stayed in a one bedroom suite complete with a fireplace. It was spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. The Molton Brown amenities in our marble bathroom were a real treat. Twice we called the fireplace butler to start our evening fire and enjoyed the opportunity to choose our wood. We would definitely stay at the Taj Boston again!

It's expensive to stay at the Taj, but if you like luxury accommodations, this will do. From the doorman helping you take your bags to the bell station, the friendly reception service, the lovely interiors, the simple ease of everything . . . My room (a deluxe with king bed) was spacious, the wifi (at $10/day) was simple to connect to, the bed was comfortable, the food was pretty good (room service), the bath/shower was small but lovely. Everything in pretty decent shape, and the little touches were there: an extra toothbrush, a mending kit, some Woolite if you need it--that kind of thing. Also, the location is really good for getting around Boston: by Newbury and Boylston and Comm Ave, across from the Public Garden, right near the T.

The cons are the cost and the morning street noise. If the sound of trucks working in the alley bothers you, be sure to request a room facing some other direction.

Great location, close to upscale shopping, the park. Need assistance in answering room service phone quicker. Excellent in calling me by name, even at checkout. When you travel, it's the little things you appreciate. Will be back.
