My boyfriend and I came to boston and chose this hotel bc it is a Westin and we love to travel with Starwood. The Hotel was huge and it was great there was a Starbucks downstairs. We stayed in a King Deluxe room. It was so specious and very nice. The view of the river was breath taking. The service from the staff was amazing! we got off our plane at 7am (check in is a 3) so we walked the city after awhile we were exhausted and came to the hotel about 1:45pm and the desk agent was so helpful to get us up to a room which we were so grateful for. We did have an issue with the movies and the shower while staying at the hotel. But after I contacted them and explained what had happen they immediately apologized and were very kind about the situation. Because of how they handle their guests and their guest recovery I will come back to this property again and again. THANK YOU!

Room Tip: Charles River view is amazing!!! Pay for the King deluxe upgrade, its worth it!

The Westin Copley Place is a fine hotel in a great location right in the heart of Boston's shopping Mecca. However, there are a few things that stood out as less than wonderful for a top tier hotel. Our room had the most bizarre dripping coming from inside the pipes. It was really quite loud and would last for several minutes anytime following the use of the sink or shower. Otherwise the room was very nice, with a good view of the city. We went down for a late breakfast only to be led around to three locations and eventually ended up where we started. Their breakfast buffet had shut down five minutes before, and there was no other way to get breakfast! My wife was not feeling well and asked for simple toast and was told that breakfast was over and they couldn't make toast. At those prices they should have made anything we wanted.

Pros:
+location-you are indoor walking to a lot of shopping, close to fenway, close to lots of fine dining places.
+hot water-becareful because this hotel has some super hot water. It was great for me, but I can see someone getting burnt.
+staff-friendly
Cons:
-pool under construction
-no sauna
-picture quality of the TV mediocre
-temperamental elevators

Overall the Cons are so minimal that It wouldn't stop me from staying here again.

We stayed at this hotel since we were looking for something that was close to a park, restaurants and shopping without a car. I had just stayed at the Langham (closer to the Financial Area) for work, which I thought was an excellent hotel in terms of service and attention but it was a little further away from the central area. The Back Bay Area is great if you are travelling with kids since it is close to a park (Boston Common), a farmers' market (Copley Square on Friday when we were there), a lot of casual restaurants, an enclosed mall in case of cold weather or rain (Prudential Center), Boston Public Library and shopping (Newbury Street).

While the hotel is ideally located, it is a big hotel. The check-in is on the second floor and there did not seem to be a bell-hop to help with luggage (with small children) out of a taxi and up to the room and no offer for assistance by the reception. Again, it's a large hotel and perhaps it was busy. The rooms are a very good size however the bathroom is quite small. There was an empty mini-fridge which we used to store water and snacks for the kids.

The concierge was helpful enough to provide maps and point you in the right direction. There may be a small wait to speak to him/her during busy hours. A lot of people come through this hotel. There is also a business center to print out boarding passes etc for free. And we had free wi-fi in our room as Starwood members. The room rate isn't cheap but standard ($300+) in the Back Bay Area for the central location. We would likely stay here again only for the location since we walked up to Newbury Street for breakfast (Cafeteria is recommended) and ice cream and it's a short walk to Boston Common which the kids loved.

The hotel experience from check-in to check-out is second to none. All hotel staff greet guests with a smile and positive attitude. Check-in is expedited through adequate staffing of front desks. Lobby is well appointed, inviting, and comfortable. Ample seating for relaxation with many food choices for dining in or taking out. Elevators are plentiful and efficient. Guest rooms are large and bathrooms are well stocked. Housekeeping takes pride in their work, as evidenced by room cleanliness. Access to Copley Place and Prudential Center Malls can be navigated through connecting bridge-ways thereby reducing the need to go outdoors. All these factors coupled with the convenience of being in a central location with access to two transit stations should be the reason that everyone should book a stay at this property.

Room Tip: Higher floors have great views of the city.

We stayed at the Westin Copley Place while attending a conference, and were delighted with everything from the spacious corner suite with a gorgeous view of the Charles and surrounding area to the easy walk to the convention center and cultural sites. We especially appreciated Tania who checked us in and Dennis who recommended great restaurants. And the wireless was free for Starwood customers - woohoo!

I recently stayed at the Westin Copley Place in Boston. The hotel is situated in the Back Bay Area of Boston and is centrally located. From shopping, to a variety of wonderful restaurants, to Faneuil Hall, the Freedom trail, hop on hop off tours, etc. etc. the hotel is within walking distance to virtually anything a tourist would want to participate in. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the staff extremely polite and helpful, and the hotel facilities amazing. I was travelling with two other people who also loved the hotel. I very much look forward to returning to the Westin in Boston in the near future. You won't regret selecting this hotel as your travel destination in Boston.
