“Unexpected, Pleasant Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014

Spent one night at Hyatt Boston Harbor after flying into Logan Airport. The bus service to my final destination was cancelled due to snowy & icy road conditions. Made my room reservation from the airport, The hotel courtesy van picked me up and transported me right up to the front door, where I was met by the concierge. All of the hotel staff were most courteous and helpful. The Harborside Grill's food was delicious. My room was on the sixth floor with a beautiful view of Boston Harbor. The accommodations were excellent. It was an unexpected, yet pleasant, one-night stay.

Got a late flight in from the UK with the family, so we chose to stay at the Hyatt on BA Avios miles, which was a very low number of points versus other hotels. The hotel is ideally located to the hotel, with a free transfer bus which arrived quickly after calling. Check in staff were efficient and we were in our room quickly. The room was very clean and tidy, we had booked a crib which was already in the room and spotless which is great. Being a airplane buff we had a great view of the airport, which was a bonus. The birds were very comfortable and we all slept very well. The restaurant has a great breakfast buffet and stunning views off Boston across the bay. Will definitely use again if we get a late flight in.

I have only ever stayed at this hotel when flying out of Logan Airport on a very early flight, so my experience is really limited. I have found that on the times that I have stayed that the staff is always very accommodating, and the hotel/room is quiet, clean and comfortable. At my last stay, we left the hotel at 3:30 a.m. and the staff was kind enough to have bagged breakfasts waiting for us at the front desk. The shuttle is always easy and efficient as well.
My only constructive criticism would be that it would be nice to have queen sized beds in the double rooms, instead of the double beds (which is why I give the value and sleep quality categories only an average rating).

Room Tip: The rooms facing the harbor have a beautiful view of the city.

Stayed here 1 night after a wedding reception that was held at the hotel. The rooms were nice and the hotel itself was kept up well. The reception was tented outside and it poured that night so having to truck indoors in the pouring rain to use the restroom was less than desirable for sure but that is some what unrelated.

Our room overlooked Logan Airport and the runways which might seem appealing to some but seeing that I work at the airport and it was a night off for me felt like I couldn't get away, but that is not the hotels fault but if you're someone who doesn't care for noise or a view of an airport you may want to reconsider.

We have stayed here before for it's excellent proximity to Logan airport for an early morning departure. Our experience this time was as before except for the overnight parking charge of $47 ,previously complimentary to overnight guests. The shuttle service is excellent and worth using to avoid the exorbitant cost of parking. There is no lounge area-a curious omission in a four star hotel-so the only option is to use the restaurant or bar if you wish to spend time out of your room.I also find having to pay extra for internet service an imposition in a hotel of this level but not abnormal -it seems that in trying to cut the base cost of a room the management have had to raise ancillary charges to maintain profitability.

Room Tip: Ask for one over looking the harbor, the other wing looks out at the airport but all are very well in...

Loved this hotel! Stayed here for a conference and although it was a cold month to visit Boston, my stay here will be memorable. Front desk staff, bell hops, cleaning staff and even our servers in the conference dining rooms were all very friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating about our needs and helpful about all things Boston. Can't say enough about every staff member we encountered during our stay here. You made our stay even better!

The hotel is stone's throw away from the Boston Logan airport. So is a perfect place for that one night you are in a city and have a flight. But if you are visiting Boston, don't even bother to book.

The stay - Even at night, there was very little noise that suggested I was so close to airplanes taking off/ landing. So the sleep was perfect. The rooms were spacious and the staff very helpful. I got a Harbor view room, which was pretty cool. But the honeymoon ended when I went to sleep. The beds were sagging to one side and the sheets were torn in the ends (Not something I expected from Hyatt). Anyways, the bathroom was equipped and clean. They had all the amenities/ toiletries you can ever require, so that takes care of most of the things we forget. The food was good, but if I am not incorrect, they have only the one restaurant in the lobby, which if lots of rooms are occupied, can become packed.

They have a free airport shuttle, ample parking (which is paid) and give free coupons for a water taxi to Boston.

However, i faced an issue (incorrect charge on credit card and complaint reg. torn sheets and sagging bed). Hopefully it should be resolved. The text is reproduced as follows:

"I stayed at the Hyatt Boston Harbor from 28th Jan to 29th Jan in room no. 1523.
I was charged $97.64, apart from the customary $50 that are charged to cover the incidentals, since I had prepaid for the room.

When I double checked the $97.64 charged to my card no. XXXXXX, I was told by the front desk that the charges were the result of a computer error and will be reversed.

After checkout, I received a reversal of $50 charge and was charged $29.75 for my breakfast. However, the $97.64 charge still stands and till date, I haven't been able to get a satisfactory response as to why was this charge made at the first instant and why is it taking too long to vacate it.

I get more concerned since this is my Visa travel card and will cease to be operational in a few weeks time. I request you to kindly look into the matter and take necessary steps as soon as possible.

Further, I am shocked and utterly surprised that the two complaints I wrote while checking out have probably not been addressed since I am yet to hear anything on that from your team. Probably, the note I wrote went to the garbage, since I was never provided with a genuine complaint form."

Room Tip: Take a harbor view room, else you will be staring at the runway.
