“Wonderful stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2013 via mobile

This hotel is simply wonderful! Staff is very friendly and helpful, location is perfect, fitness center is fantastic, rooms are clean, furniture is new and bed is really comfortable. I strongly recommend this hotel! There are many restaurants in the vicinity and airport is just 15 minutes away by taxi. I will remember this business trip, not only because of wonderful city of Boston, but also because of excellent hotel and people that work there.

Now this is a special hotel. Special in the first place for its no tipping policy. Finally! I hope more hotels will emulate the Japanese tradition. It really makes the experience so much more pleasant. Special, since this hotel is quiet, the windows have double thick glass and really no noise penetrates. The airconidioning is whisper quiet as well. I wish more hotels would pay attention to these aspects (noise) as this hotel apparently has done. The rooms are very clean, renovated and large. Bed quality is great, bathroom adequate but not luxiurious (4 star quality befitting this hotel). Location is in the seaport area which is rapidly developing and it is only a 10 min ride from Logan airport. In short, a very-well run hotel, quiet and better than its 4 star category would suggest.

We recently held my son's wedding reception at the hotel and it was an amazing experience! The majority of us attending the wedding were from out of town and stayed at the Seaport. Both the hotel stay and reception exceeded our expectations. All of the staff was helpful, positive and went the extra mile. The service and food at the reception was excellent. We received numerous positive comments and we can't think of anything that could've been better. The location is convenient to the airport and a short cab ride to various attractions.

We value feedback from all of our guests, and it is especially pleasing to hear positive feedback from the mother of the groom as weddings are significant milestones. I am so pleased to learn that your expectations were exceeded and that you found our team gracious and accommodating. We will certainly share your compliments. Thank you for selecting Seaport for your son’s wedding, and best wishes to the happy couple.

I stayed here for 2 nights to explore Boston. The hotel is well located next to the Boston World Trade Center, with a landing area for boats just around the corner as well as a stop on the Silver Line on the transport network around the other corner (for Boston airport), providing easy links into the center of Boston and South Train station (for AMTRAK). The hotel is around 1 mile from the main tourist areas, however it is a very easy walk. I did it a few times, even with a suitcase. A selection of restaurants are near by.

The hotel has a no tipping policy, which is strange for America but very much welcomed. No worrying about who to tip and how much. The customer service at this hotel is outstanding, Right from check-in, I could not flaw the service received.

I stayed in a twin room which was large, clean and had a very effective air conditioning system. The usual in room amenities can be found, coffee maker, ironing board, TV with a good range of channels and toiletries. A writing desk and small coffee table with chairs can also be found in the room. The beds are large and comfortable which lead to two very good nights sleep. For those who like a specific type of pillow can consult a pillow menu to select one which will meet the comfort level expected. A safe is also available in rooms. The bathroom was of a good size and had bathrobes.

Inside the hotel there is a business center (complimentary for guests) with access to computers, printers and such like. The only issue I found was I was unable to print out a PDF document, however the front staff kindly assisted.
Also within the hotel is a small gift shop, also selling a small range of essential items should you need them away from home.
I did not use the coffee shop or restaurants so am unable to comment on the quality.

I can highly recommended this hotel, the customer service remained very high, even with the no tipping policy- which must be a massive bonus to foreign guests! Although not right in the center, its waterfront location makes for something different and as previously mentioned, the transport makes for a stress free journey around the city if you do not fancy the walk.

Room Tip: Some rooms have views over the waterfront

Stayed at the Seaport Hotel for a weekend before taking a cruise and had a great time. The hotel was what we expected and more. The service and staff were always helpful and did not always have their hands out for a tip. In fact, the person who brought our luggage to the room, there was a lot of it, would not take a tip, he said it was part of the service. The location is fantastic, good restaurants within walking distance, close to airport and cruise docks. We recommend this hotel very highly.
