“Great Experience”
Reviewed 10 February 2014

The last three years I've attended a trade show down the street from the Seaport Boston Hotel where this hotel was recommended by the show coordinators. Since my preferred chain hotel was not in proximity, I decided to try it out and was not disappointed. This last visit I was able to stay in one of their newly renovated rooms and it was apparent they had the traveler's convenience in mind with the makeover. My favorite, the privacy button that can be activated from inside the room providing a light around the doorbell outside the room to let the staff know I don't want or am not ready for my room to be cleaned. No more tags falling off the door! No fog mirrors in the bath, plush robes, courtesy umbrella, comfortable beds, large screen TV and convenient desk with all the high tech plugs and a master light switch next to the bed. Small details that make for a comfortable stay.

I just had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for the first time and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The service was amazing at every turn. No matter what staff I encountered at this hotel, the experience was wonderful... friendly and helpful. We were in a newly remodeled room: it was lovely and spotless! The decor was calming and elegant without being over-the-top. Room was smallish, but we managed for two nights easily. Had cocktails in the bar and noshed on several menu items. Duck sliders are a commendable choice. We were reminded of the now-tipping policy with every check we received, which is so refreshing! I would happily return here again for business or leisure.

The hotel was very clean, really had no problems at all. The hotel attendants were pleasant, the concierge made a good recommendation for a place to visit for the evening (Harpoon Brewery, right up the road!). Dinner was decent, the dining is more upscale. The rooms were a tad on the small side and not much for clothes storage, but they were clean and sufficient.

My only gripe would be the 'shuttle' service (which did seem to be a Seaport hotel service, I don't think it was a separate company) we took from the hotel to the convention center, none of the drivers were overtly pleasant. The first driver on Wednesday morning was driving rather erratically considering the amount of snow on the ground, and swearing in Spanish at the police officers directing traffic.

I arrived earlier than expected on my arrival day and my room was not ready. Although the desk clerk called housekeeping, and continued to call, it was several hours later (when I could have been doing other things), that I finally was able to get in. Otherwise, the hotel was quite lovely and the staff, very attentive.

I always try to stay @ Seaport when I travel to Boston for overnight business meetings. The rooms are very spacious & clean. They take care of every small detail i.e. they have an umbrella in case it suddenly start raining, provide mouthwash etc...Room service is great. Their Gym is also nice with enough machines & equipments. Swimming pool is also great.

Their breakfast is great and the staff for the breakfast, lunch and Dinner service are very nice and friendly.

overall I always have best experience during my stay. Keep up the great work!!!

Room Tip: Corner suites are larger and @ times have good water view.

This was my third time staying at the Seaport for business. My company practically takes over the entire hotel for a week. We use the restaurant and bar facilities at night for new hire orientation. During the day we use the World Trade Center for meetings. This year our Thursday night get together was in the ballroom. Set up, food and personnel were top notch. The hotel is undergoing renovations but we couldn't tell because everything was so quiet. Can't wait for next year to see the renovated rooms and areas;
Try the Tamo bar for great food and cocktails.
