I'm not one to regularly write reviews by my experience at XV Beacon definitely warrants it. My husband and I shared our honeymoon in one of the beautifully appointed rooms. They left nothing uncovered. Our room featured total surround sound with multiple speakers, a fire place, a beautiful partially canopied bed, and a jacuzzi bath tub. Upon our arrival they took the liberty of scattering white rose petals throughout the room. Shortly after checking in we received an sweets platter than included by favorite - chocolate covered strawberries. The most amazing part about this attention to detail is they did it all without any special requests from us.

The hotel is located near several great restaurants and shopping - all within walking distance. They had convenient onsite valet which is great considering the harsh parking conditions in the area. The staff was exceptionally gracious from the valet, to bell person, to front desk, to concierge... I love the boutique feel of this hotel. We felt recognized as valued visitors - not just more guests. We live in the city but truly felt transported during our stay.

If service is a prime requirement as well as comfort and style for your XV Beacon is my top recommendation for the Boston area.

Room Tip: Book in advance...rooms fill up quicly.

Had a corner room which was cosy, esp with the fire, but spacious as well. Bed was very comfy. Room was spotless. Dined at Moo which was absolutely first rate; the best meal of the whole New England trip! Luxurious hotel car took us to the airport. Would recommend without a doubt.

We enjoyed our visit last year at the XV that we came back again this year. Same great place, wonderful staff, and such a positive start to our vacation!

The location could not be better - downtown Boston is a very easy town to navigate and easily walkable but the car service is an added plus when you don't want to walk it. Steps away from the Freedom Trail, King's Chapel, The Granary Cemetery and the other historical sights, as well as Boston Commons Park. The T-line is a couple of short blocks away if you want to take the subway.

Don't miss a short walk down to Charles Street for breakfast and people watching!

See you again at the XV - next time we visit Boston!

Room Tip: Last year we stayed on the front side of the hotel in a larger suite. There was some traffic noise...

I stayed here with my wife in August and it was a great experience. Our room was special, there is a fireplace in every room which truly makes it a romantic experience. The room was clean and the towels and sheets were what you would expect from a luxury hotel. There was a TV in the bathroom that was a nice touch. I was impressed by the way they would clean the room every time we left and leave a small plate of chocolate and fruit. We had late check out and we ordered breakfast room service. The room service was excellent and the food was amazing. The hotel restaurant Moo had amazing food. We also made use of the roof top hot tub and the complimentary Car service. The hotel is also close to a great park and restaurants and shopping. My wife and I loved it.

Room Tip: choose a high room and better to book through a luxury travel service like Amex Platinum to get the...

The XV Beacon is truly an amazing hotel. This was our first visit to Boston, and staying at The XV Beacon made our stay all the more special. This hotel is just gorgeous, very plush, very classy and just so relaxing, with staff that can't do enogh for you. Location was also great.
We visited with friends on August 21st for 4 days to celebrate my wifes birthday and our every need was catered for.
We shall definitely visit Boston again, and will only sayt at the Beacon.

We stayed five nights at XV Beacon. I had considered other boutiques but they were almost all in the Back Bay area. After a week getting to know Boston's neighbourhoods, I'm glad we chose XV Beacon because of the location and even more importantly for the relaxing and comfortable stay.

The lobby is a modest size and understated in its décor as are the hallways, but the rooms are replete with extras. The marble bathroom rooms provide amenities beyond shampoo, conditioner and soap, such as lip balm, a tv and heated towel rack. The bath sheets are plush as are the bathrobes. The mini bar and snacks are extensive (although we did not use it) but the bar area includes wine glasses (very important for me). We were able to have a Nespresso machine upon request.

The bed was comfortable and faced a working gas fireplace as well as flat screen tv. Turn down service included turning on the stereo in the room which was very quiet. The room included a comfortable lounge chair as well as desk and chairs. There was no real view from the windows, just other buildings, but the draperies worked well to keep out the morning light.

Other extras included the shuttle service provided by the top of the line Lexus vehicles which we greatly appreciated. Internet connections are free and fast, which isn't always the case.

The restaurant Mooo is attached and also provides room service. We tried the restaurant for breakfast and enjoyed it. For dinner, the food was good but we enjoyed other Boston restaurants more. Somehow we never made it to the rooftop terrace. Maybe next time.

Not enough good can be said of the staff who were all friendly and helpful.

It is not an inexpensive hotel but we found it well worth the stay.
