I must say this review I'm thrilled to write...what an experience, This boutique Hotel..located in a prime area of this cosmopolitian & historical city...I was walking distance to everything! Outside of the oustaning and convient location. The Hotel was so beautiful, With huge attention paid to every detail.I felt as though i was staying in a fabulous condo, versus an actual hotel room..full of comfort, and all the neccesities a home would have... the decor was so exceptional..along with the high thread count sheets..marble modern bath, and increadibly attentive staff...they made me feel welcomed and at home in complete luxury!...if in Boston again...this will be the only place I stay in the future.I highly recomend VX Beacon Hotel. In addition it has a delicious resturante at the Hotel...a modern take on a steak and chop house....equally as devine as the hotel....This hotel made my stay in Boston...I hope it wil do the same for you!

Stayed at XV Beacon the weekend of June 13. I am a loyal Marriott member, staying in
hotels more than 100 nights yearly.
XV Beacon is a breath of fresh air. The staff is dedcated to making your stay as enjoyable as possible.
From the valet, concierge, desk clerk, and bell staff, everyone is friendly and helpful.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, flat screens, stereo, period furniture, truly luxurious.
There is a rooftop deck with breathtaking views of the Boston skyline.
We walked everywhere we went; theatre, Fanuel Hall, public gardens , Newbury Street, etc.
We are already planning our next night in Boston and it will be at XV Beacon!

You couldn't find a hotel with a better location in Boston. Although there is a complimentary Lexus to take you to destinations within Boston, absolutely everything worth doing in town is within an easy walk. The only thing is that it's hard to leave your room because it's so beautiful. There's a fireplace, big screen t.v., luxurious bed and bedding ,and a well stocked mini bar. We have never seen a nicer bathroom. The bathrobes are thick and soft. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our concierge, Maureen, was able to get us in to a very popular restaurant with very little notice. There were lots of little touches, too, like the business cards in our rooms with our names on them and cookies and fruit dipped in chocolate. We just snick in for one night and came home feeling pampered. Definitely worth another trip in!

At the end of a weeks holiday we decided to treat ourselves to a night at XV Beacon and we were not disappointed.
From the moment you arrive you are made to feel special at this hotel and not like just another guest. Check-in was polite and efficient and the glass of home made lemonade was a refreshing treat. The rooms are totally fantastic - the decor manages to combine traditional and modern to create a relaxing environment. The gas fire (which is operated by a switch by the bed!) ipod dock, free internet, flat screen tv and stereo means that your every wish is catered for. The bathroom was also thoughtfully designed with a fabulous rain shower and a jacuzzi bath. A real hairdryer, high quality "fresh" toiletries, luxury bedlinen and towels all added to the experience. The only problem with this hotel is that we didn't want to leave our room!

I have stayed at XV Beacon several times and keep going back.
The service is spectacular and the rooms have been updated and are better than most other fine boutique hotels.
Everyone from the concierge to the driver of the complimentary car service went above and beyond to make our stay not only memorable, but now I don't think there is another hotel in Boston where I would rather stay.

The GM greeted us during our stay as well and she was absolutely wonderful to us, and she definitely cares about her guests, as she likes to make everyone feel at home and is her number one priority.
Everything we needed from tickets to events around town, reservations at restaurants, etc was provided to us and made our stay in Boston even better.

Even the bathrooms in our room was awesome and perfectly clean with TV's in it!

Overall this place is amazing and I will continue giving my business to this hotel!

Traveling for me usually consists of hotels like the Four Seasons or Ritz. Although those experiences are nice, it's easy to forget the comfort and intimacy of a boutique hotel. XV Beacon represents everything that I would like from a boutique experience. It might have the most central location of any hotel in the area, but yet feel like a home away from home. The hotel has clearly been renovated. It has a sheik and modern feel while maintaining the true historic integrity of the building. The room has endless array of gadgets and all the multi media experience you need. There is even a button to warm your towel... never seen that before!

With a busy summer of travel and projects, an overnight stay in our own city seemed just the antidote to our busy lives. From the moment we pulled up to the valet, we felt like we had stepped into a tiny oasis of calm and relaxation. The warm greeting started with the valet, went right through check in and the bellman taking us to the room.

Upon arrival in the room, the music was playing softly and the ice bucket was filled. We were treated to a brief overview of how everything (the fireplace, stereo, etc...) worked. The front desk had confirmed our dinner reservation, but knowing that we had arrive a bit later than anticipated, took the liberty of letting the restaurant know we would be late - a nice treat to not have to do that ourselves.

While we loved the idea of the car service dropping us off anywhere in town, we decided to dine at Mooo, the hotel restaurant. The service was impeccable. We were never rushed through dinner and our waiter allowed us time with our cocktails, our appetizers, and our dinner...he made sure we had everything that we needed, but never intruded on our quiet conversation. We asked to split the lobster bisque and it was served in small crocks - and tasted DIVINE! Best ever. We'll be back for it. We also split a tuna appetizer which was refreshing before switching to our filets which were worth the entire stay! Yum! We did not order dessert, but the homemade "mallomars" were just enough sweet treat to top off the meal.

After dinner, we took advantage of the quiet roofdeck to see the city in a new light while having a nightcap. Inside a city oasis, it is lovely to have an even quieter spot to enjoy the stars.

Getting back to the room, I cannot get over how clean and well appointed it was. The bathroom was modern, but also warm and inviting. The rainfall showerhead made us both re-think our own showers at home, too! What a treat. I could have stayed there forever. It was also nice to have a real hairdryer - not the typical hotel hairdryer (a small thing that makes a huge difference to a lot of women when packing!!!).

The gas fireplace set a great mood, even on a summer evening, and we enjoyed just curling up and catching our breath from a busy week.

We ordered room service the following morning so as to just continue enjoying our little escape. Service was prompt and the food was fantastic - allowing us a bit more time before heading back into our busy world. As we left, our farewell was as warm and charming as our arrival. And we agreed that XV Beacon would definitely be a once a year treat to ourselves. A perfect escape!! And while we did not bring our pets, the fact that it is a pet friendly hotel makes our recommendation to others even easier!!!
