I thought this was a great place to stay during my six-week research trip to Boston. The apartment was small (a studio, like it says) but very nice-- nice kitchen with appliances, dishware, full size fridge, TV with cable, wireless internet, nice bathroom, on-site washer and dryer. I felt like it was definitely worth the money.
All of the apartments are in a large converted house- very charming. The staff was very responsive and friendly; they responded to email quickly and were generally helpful. There is a great bakery/cafe called Flour around the corner, tons of restaurants, small grocery stores, a Walgreens, etc. A bus stop up Mass Ave is a block away, and the T was within easy walking distance. A Whole Foods was about a mile away.
I am a young woman and was staying alone, so I didn't venture too many places alone on foot after dark, but I felt quite safe in the neighborhood overall. During the day I walked all over-- up to the Back Bay, over to the Boston Public Library, and even to Boston Common (though this was a bit of a trek).
I would definitely stay here again, and think it would especially appeal to business travelers or to those looking to have access to a kitchen to save some money by cooking their own meals.More
