“Overpriced Hotel”

The Midtown Hotel is quite overpriced and not a great value. The hotel room was somewhat clean. The beds were comfy.I was in other hotels in Boston that were a lot cheaper and more up to date than this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel unless it is a last resort.

Spent a week in the Midtown hotel it's very clean with access to a great swimming pool, central for all the great sights to see in Boston.
The front desk staff could not have been more helpful and made us feel very welcome during our stay.
No breakfast but this did not spoil our stay.

We have loved this hotel. The staff have been great and nothing has been too much. The rooms are clean and tidy with a great compact bathroom. The pool was great and the youth with us loved his dips in it. It's a 5 min walk from boylston street where we ate in the evenings and posited the Christian Science complex which is a sight to see. I'm 100% happy with my stay

My girlfriend and I stayed there this past weekend while visiting the city and were pleasantly surprised. The location was fantastic, the price was right, and while many have complained about the rooms we would disagree. Yes the hotel is dated, but for the price save your complaints. The air conditioning as some have mentioned, actually worked fine and kept our room cool. The room was large, and the shower and toilet area were actually separated from the sink area which was perfect for the girls to get ready. The front desk staff were excellent overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

While location is so very important the Midtown also offers excellent customer service. We arrived at 6am expecting to store our luggage and rest in the lobby for a bit and then get on with our business but this plan was set aside because when we arrived we were upgraded and given a room at 6am. The hotel is not fancy. Rooms are plain. Reminds me of a Holiday Inn of about 1975. Very clean. The halls are sort of twisted and convoluted but there are lots of stairwells. The rooms were very very quiet. Our room was at the back so there was no traffic noise. The AC fan provides great white noise - we never even heard a door shut in the hallway. The beds were pretty comfortable - of course we were tired from trekking around but we slept great. The location was excellent for our events at Northeastern. And close to the Prudential Mall, great eating places, Close to the T station at Prudential and Symphony. Close to a great little shopping area behind the Christian Science Church. Great breakfast and lunch cafe in the next block. Just thought everyone was so very nice and courteous. Emailed them some papers that we needed printing and got them right away. Overall just great service! Loved the employees and the location. Of course if you insist on a 5 star accommodation this place is not for you but if you are looking for location, cleanliness, service and value (yes Midtown was much much cheaper than the hotels within a few blocks) - pick the Midtown!

Room Tip: Rooms away from the street are quieter.

Brilliant staff - Mark and Lydia made our stay enjoyable by being so friendly and polite despite having to work such long hours - thanks
Our room was at the end of the corridor - noisy air conditioning
The hotel was clean and the room so spacious - lovely fluffy blankets

Room Tip: Get a room away from the road It's a long labyrinth of a hotel - remember how to get back to yo...

This hotel has one very good quality: it has an excellent location. A block away from the Boston Pops, two from the Prudential Tower and lots of shopping and with a "T'stop a half-block away. But the hotel itself is just ordinary and more expensive than it should be. Beds were ok, but room needs upgrading (ours had a iron-shaped hole in the rug), bathroom is small, the hotel charges for wi-fi, has no restaurant, and staff is efficient but not too friendly. Use it if you have to.
