Room was comfortable and clean. A/C in room was working well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very close to trains and easy to get to. My only complaint was the $2.50 soda's out of the vending machines

The Ac in the room was not functioning well. The mechanic had to come twice and fix it but at the end it stopped working again towards midnight. other than that the place was pretty good for the price.

Room comfortable and clean. Hotel is located near public transportation, shopping malls and historic sites. A short walk around makes you feel the exciting ambiance of Boston with its cultural and insightful places.

Our family trip to Boston was made easy with our stay at the Midtown. It was easy to park and leave the car because the train stations were just a block away and those trains took us where we wanted to go. The staff was friendly, our room was spacious, neat and very clean. We had enough room to spread out and be comfortable and the outdoor pool was crystal clear for perfect endings to our wanderings around historic Boston and Fenway Park. You honestly cannot beat the price for the cleanliness, friendliness and proximity to the T as well as a fabulous tavern for food and drinks right around the corner at the Five Horses Tavern.

I have stayed at Midtown three times, much for the prices and location. The location is great, people at the reception are very nice, but the rooms are just average. You go there to sleep. The hotel needs a touch up, not necessarily an expensive renovation.

I was appalled at the smell of the carpets, and the stains on the chairs in the room. Just amazing what one can get away with in the Boston hotel world. Many college age students stay there and it is quite noisy even late at night with doors slamming etc. The pool is essentially unheated, and the shower one should use to rinse off next to the pool is only cold water. Wow, I will never stay there again. It felt like being in Haiti, but with a sense of humor one can get through it...but never again.

Room Tip: Don't stay there at all.
