“excellent location”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

The rating for this property was mainly for the location which couldn't be faulted - it was in easy reach of the waterfront, aquarium, Quincy Market and all the top attractions.
Positives: location, huge comfy bed and large room ( atrium view), fridge, safe, adjustable lighting, nice bathroom, free Wi-Fi, very modern finishes everywhere, very clean, laid back atmosphere.
Negatives: only 12 inches of hanging room for clothes, no daylight or privacy due to atrium view, noisy when people congregated outside lift, no coffee maker, light on corridors were on all night and shone through gaps in blind meaning the room was never dark enough to sleep, fridge was very noisy so had to sleep with earplugs in, some reception staff spent more time chatting to each other rather than being interested in guests, coffee shop downstairs closed at 3pm.

Although we did enjoy our trip the lack of daylight overall in the hotel meant we tried to spend as little time there as possible. We paid over £200 a night booking through a hotel site but the Americans we spoke to seemed to pay a lot less so we should have booked through the hotel direct.
Very obviously designed by a man- lots of gadgetry such as music system, DVD player and 6 sets of adjustable lights....but the lights around bathroom mirror pointed up over making it difficult to see properly to apply make up - also the lack of hanging space for clothes was difficult when 2 people were staying for a week.

Room Tip: We would chose an outside room but note that previous reviewers said they were small. If choosing an...

Our first stay in Boston and what a disappointment. The three people at the front desk were rude, uninterested, and definately not helpful. Our room was tiny- could practically touch the television hanging on the wall while laying in bed. The decor was sparce- no refridgerator or coffee maker. And the noise coming from the inside of thd hotel may be great for the 20 something crowd, but for those who are older and require sleep, it was a nightmare. Parking was only slightly reduced for those staying at the hotel, and was inconvenient at best. No bang for a lot of buck! Would not stay here again.

Have stayed in boston several times on vacation and this is the best location we've found. Easy 1/2 mile wal to boston commons, 1/4 mile to fauneil hall/ boston market, 1/2 mile to north end. Located on the harbor, just steps from the aquarium, harbor cruises, a T station and a legal seafood restaurant. Rooms are adequate, no view but no bother, clean well furnished free wifi. no coffee but a Starbucks in the lobby.

Room Tip: Not on first floor

Nice clean room. Good location. But, two types of rooms: outside with a view of the side of a hotel or inside with a view of an air shaft. There is a bar, but no restaurant. But, lots of restaurants nearby. No coffeemaker in the room.

We had an almost 24 hour layover in Boston .... so decided to find something downtown.... the location of this hotel is prime within walking distance of everything..... in comparison to the other hotels it was much less expensive..... and it did not disappoint.... the rooms were clean, well appointed, nice touches like the travel guide and a couple of local magazines, free wireless internet, very friendly staff...... all appreciated. Comfy bed, good pillows, great shower they could not offer late check out but offered to store our bags for the day to allow us to explore ....... We will be back......

This is a small hotel in a good location in old town Boston, near the harbour and Quincy market. Room was small but nicely equipped. We had a room at the front and there was a lot of street noise early in the morning. No parking available at the hotel, but a small discount on nearby public parking. The best thing about this hotel is location, within easy walking distance to most of the historic attractions.

Room Tip: avoid rooms facing onto street due to noise

What a fabulous 'boutique' hotel! Upon entering you're greeted with a neon entrance, the lobby is connected to a hopping neon nightclub and the lobby area was very inviting for sitting or catching up on business. Staff was friendly and very helpful to us tourists. Rooms were clean, well designed and upscale. The subway was right outside the door so it was easy to get around! Location was perfect - right across the street from Quincy Market and very near the wharf. Comparatively, cost was acceptable - check it out!

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms let in light, but no views.
