Stayed here for 3 nights in October 2013. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything. That alone makes staying here worth it. The room was spacious and quiet. The wardrobe was small but it was fine for me. I did a few Grayline tours and the pick up is across the road at the Marriott long wharf so that was also convenient. Boston hotels are expensive overall, so in comparison it was a good price.

Just returned from spending a long weekend in Boston with another couple. The Harborside Inn really exceeded my expectations. My husband, in reference to my high hotel standards, calls me a "hotel snob". I often find that when it comes to hotels, you get what you pay for. The hotel was clean & stylish. The bathrooms were large. In addition, the bed was comfortable and the location couldn't be beat. In comparison to the other hotels in the same area, the price was very reasonable. The Aquarium T stop was right in front of the hotel (2 stops away from Logan Airport); across the street was the waterfront, New England Aquarium, TheHarbor Walk and the harbor tour/cruise boats and commuter boats. The North End (Boston's Little Italy) was a 5 minute walk and, Fanuiel Hall Market Place was a block away (Boston city blocks are extremely small in comparison to New York City blocks). The hotel just recently opened a Coffee shop/cafe and a lounge with a very well stocked bar. They were wonderful too. There was some nice jazz music playing and lots of silenced TV's on the wall. Game 6 of the Red Sox ALCS series was on. We asked it the music could be turned off and the TV volume turned on. The bar staff was so accommodating, and immediately raised the volume on all the TV's so all the patrons could enjoy the exciting game (If you're not familiar with Boston, Boston is a huge sports town). I'd stay here again with out hesitation and I'd highly recommend it too. I'm just worried that once this secret is found, they'll be charging the crazy fees of the other area hotels.

Room Tip: Lower floors have better water pressure

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Harborside Inn.

While visiting Massachusetts, we spent a total of 5 nights at this hotel. The first 4 nights were in a Queen Atrium-view Room and the final night was in a King Cabin (Basement) Room.

This hotel is clean, modern, stylish and in a *great* location. The rooms have everything you could need - a built in safe, an iron and ironing board, a TV with cable (and DVD/radio) and a refrigerator.

The staff were friendly and efficient - especially at checkout, which took a matter of seconds!

The only (small) negative with this hotel is the choice of snacks and food on site. The hotel has a Starbucks cafe on the premises, and after 5pm it's bar offers pizza and sandwiches. While we found this fine for our stay (as there are many, many places to eat in the surrounding area), I could see how it may be a draw back/negative for some.

If you're looking for a modern and clean place to stay in downtown Boston, this is for you. It is located right next to two T (subway) stations and from the nearby wharf you can grab a Boston Harbor Cruise ferry to Salem, Provincetown, etc.

We will definitely return to this hotel when we go back to Boston.

Room Tip: If you want total silence, choose a cabin room. These rooms have no windows, but are great as a base if you're going to be out and about all day. The atrium-view room also has it's charm and shows off the architecture of the recently refurbished and renovated building.

We had a room with a view, it was large, clean, comfortable and everything we needed when we spent most of out time out and about. I thought the staff were very helpful when we asked for assistance. Would be happy to stay there again. K & K

Room Tip: Would always choose a window looking out at the city.

The Harborside Inn does not have a view of the harbor, my room was overlooking the air shaft - internal walls and therefore very dreary. Unfortunately, I had to stay during the high season and the price was extremely high (so were all Boston hotels during this period) The Starbucks in the lobby was the poorest Starbucks I have ever seen. Location is excellent, everything can be reached by foot.
