“Weekend stay”

We were in town for our granddaughters graduation. The location can not be beat. Staff was friendly and got us checked in early on Sat. Which was a big help. We have stayed in this hotel in the past and will again in the future.

Great hotel to use as a home base to explore Boston. It is *steps* away from the Aquarium stop, so getting there from the airport is a breeze. We actually took a water taxi from the airport just for fun and that was easy too. Quincy Market is basically across the street. We had a basement room and it was dark and cool and perfect for what we needed after a day of sightseeing = SLEEP. Tons of pillows, comfy bed...perfect. It would be great if there was some sort of breakfast included in the price, but other than that I couldn't find anything to complain about.

This was our second visit to Boston and our second stay at the Harborside Inn. They have done a lot of changes since our last visit there in 2010 - very nicely done - although at the expense of the complimentary coffee they use to have there. if you seek the ideal location: close to the waterfront, Faneuil/Quincy Market; pubs, downtown and Little Italy, you can't go wrong here. It's reasonably priced for Boston. The staff is very friendly and helpful - allowed us an earlier check-in and a later check-out so we can get in a harbor cruise. This visit we opted for a city view room - the other less expensive view that does not provide a view (brick wall of the atrium) kinda made us feel claustrophobic. I hope this is not our last visit to Boston - when (not if) we return, we'll be staying once again at this boutique hotel - best value, best location (without spending the $$$$ at a waterfront place). What I don't understand is a 'double bed' for two people - at the very least, a queen bed would have been nice.

Room Tip: Go for a city view if you don't mind spending a few bucks more per night.

This is a hidden gem in the Wharf/Quincy Market neighborhood. Exceptional location-only a few min. from the North End/Wharf/Downtown, and only 20 min. walk from the Boston Common. Great service and attention, and great modern rooms. Fabulous modern bathrooms. EXTREMELY CLEAN. I highly recommend the "basement" rooms (without windows) much quieter and king sized rooms. Nice bar, great waitstaff, and very clean. Transportation to/from airport is a snap taking the blue line train to Aquarium station IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL. (not a typo). A+++ hotel, don't go elsewhere !

Room Tip: Go downstairs and forget the windows - its MUCH quieter !!

My wife and I planned a trip to Boston on a lark and originally were astounded by the price of lodging. We chose the Harborside Inn for its location and a more unique experience than some chain hotel. Fifteen minutes from the airport by subway and having the subway and the harbor right outside the door was almost invaluable. Made it simple for spontaneous excursions to anywhere in the city. The lobby and bar are well appointed and the staff were more than courteous. We were afforded early check-in by four hours even though the hotel was relatively full. The rooms are somewhat unassuming, but being of simple tastes we were very impressed with the cleanliness and tasteful fixtures. Serious A/C and guys...full length mirror is a nice touch. Pricy for us at $300 a night after taxes, but well worth it for its location, proximity to transportation and sights (especially the North End neighborhood) and helpful staff. Loved the fact that they had HBO and an in room guidebook which they recommend you tour the city with. It was our first time in Boston and we had a wonderful time and this place was a significant aspect of our experience.

Room Tip: Make sure you get an outside facing room because it appeared some had windows which faced the inner...

We stayed at the Harborside Inn at the end of February. The weather was extremely cold so we found the central location very handy for visiting shops, eating out, etc. The room was large and nicely decorated with free wifi. The aquarium T stop is just across the road and we used this to travel in and out of Logan airport which was extremely handy. There are plenty of coffee shops within a few blocks for breakfast. Would definitely stay here again if the price is right.

Heartbroken! We were continually told that our room would either be comped or changed, and NOTHING happened!
Nice people at the front desk made promises they couldn't keep?
Beware...room 702 has NO WI-FI. We were promised that we would be compensated...not a thing. We run a business, we were stuck. Beware of this place!
