“Great Hotel in Copley”
Reviewed 14 May 2013

I love the Colonnade. The rooms are clean and large and very hip. I prefer a room with a view onto Huntington and the Prudential Center, but the view toward the South End is nearly as nice. Great location when I am in town for business followed by dinner on Boylston. Walking distance to the restaurants or another block over to Newbury. Helpful staff. Probably the only negative I can think of is that they do not have valet parking. Not entirely sure why. But I likely will go back soon and Colonnade will always be a part of my hotel stay equation.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on an upper floor for view and quiet. And decide if you would prefer a view of the P...

Spent 3 nights here. Dark, drab corridors. Rooms comfortable, but not very roomy with over-sized furniture. Useful concierge, good service in traditional restaurant/brasserie. Only real gripe: extortionate cost of wifi. We soon found free wifi in the Barnes and Noble coffee-shop in the shopping centre opposite.

We had a wonderful experience at The Colonnade Hotel while spending a long weekend in Boston with our two young children. The room was nice with very comfortable beds, our daughter thought they were like sleeping on a giant marshmallow! The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful and went out of their way to make it a memorable experience for the kids. The hotel is right across from shopping and restaurants at the Prudential center, right around the corner from Copley Place, and there is a T-stop right outside the front door which makes it so easy to get anywhere in the city without needing a car. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we find our way back to Boston. We really appreciated the bottle of water for each of us for the car ride home!

We stayed at The Colonnade for a large family event and it was first rate all around. Rooms were fine, service was charming and the catered event was outstanding. It was the best food we've ever had for a large (over 100 people) group. We enjoyed the restaurant where the waitstaff was efficient and knowledgeable. A great time!

We recently traveled to Boston and stayed at the Colonnade Hotel. We had a great experience. from the moment we were greeted at the door by Norman who offered us a bottle of water and a big smile. Our room was very nice with comfortable beds and a great entertainment system. The location of the Colonnade is superb since it is close to restaurants, the Prudential Center, the T stop and even the trolley stops right out front. It was my first trip to Boston and Jerry the concierge was very helpful in planning things to do and suggesting restaurants for dinner. I give it a big thumbs up and if I am ever back in Boston, I would definitely stay there again.

The whole staff was great (Hotel and restaurant Chez Jo).
Hotel is well located (metro in front of hotel, cheesecake factory restaurant and others around), rooms are big enough and clean.
I would have appreciated to know that the pool was closed, but everything else was really great.
We travelled to Boston, New York and Washington, and my family (10 of us in 3 different rooms) unanimously told me that The Colonnade was the Best hotel of the trip (even better than the Hilton).
A special thank you to Richard at Chez Jo reataurant.

Merci beaucoup / Thank you so much

Stayed here for two short periods over last two weeks. Both rooms I had were very comfortable, everything worked and if ever there was a problem, the staff came to help almost immediately. I ate in brasserie Jo several times... Good food, well served; somewhat more expensive than the diner down the road (also very good- Thornton's) but a very convenient option. The bar there has very friendly and good barmen, who always made us feel welcome. Service could be slow when they were busy, but only in relation to their usual very prompt service. Most English people would be very satisfied, speaking as one myself! Very convenient location for museums, both Boston and Isabella Stewart Gardner; Symphony Hall, that fabulous gem of a concert hall; prudential shopping/eating mall and others, the Duck tour... which we did... Thanks Boston, for a great visit and wishing you a speedy recovery from the sad events just before I arrived.
