I've had 4 stays at the Colonnade now and it's growing on me each time. Each stay was associated with a conference or other meeting, so I haven't picked it, and each time am always more pleasantly surprised. The strengths are definitely the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at every level and the quality of the rooms. I've stayed mostly on the city view side and really enjoy working by the floor to ceiling windows-- there's a table there rather than a desk-- where I can look out the window on to the scenery below. The decor of the rooms are chocolate and modern, but still feeling homey. The rooms have recently been updated and there are plenty of outlets and little touches like a doorbell and an electronic "do not disturb". The only cons are: it would be nicer if it was attached to the nearby Copley Plaza especially in the winter to be able to go to shops and restaurants (and the conference without going back outside, the way the Westin, Marriott, and Sheraton are), but by going out the front door and ducking into the "T" (subway) entrance I could cross under the street in relative warmth and directly enter the Plaza. Also, I found the restaurant fare a bit heavy, even for breakfast, so went elsewhere to eat. All in all, a very good stay and I will definitely return.

Room Tip: Choose city side for the view, noise really wasn't a problem

I attended a conference at the Colonnade and used the Concierge to get directions to shopping, restaurants and the airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient to the airport and subway stop right outside. Rooms were appointed well for business travelers with good lighting, table for working. Note that wifi is free ONLY if you sign up for their frequent traveler program. The business center has an airport departure board and free boarding pass printing.

Room Tip: Rooms on top floor, facing away from Huntington Ave are quieter.

Stayed here for 8 days on a trip to the United States. The impression we got walking through the door was one of friendly and courteous staff. Got upgraded to a better room due to our long stay by Christine which was much appreciated. Staff always greeted us going out and coming back in which is real mark of excellent customer. Also it did not seem to be a chore as experienced at other places. We were surprised to find that there was no free wireless internet in the rooms. It is the only Hotel so far on our trip not to have this facility. It was available in the lobby for free but not overly fast. Jo's Brasserie at the hotel was also excellent with customer service and food quality. The hotel is right acroos the street from The Prudential with plenty of shopping to occupy one's time on the wet or snowy day. The Hop On Hop Off bus pulls up right outside the door which was terrific. Great stay with great sraff making it feel more like home. Well done.

My husband and I stayed at the Colonnade March22-23 2014 for my husband's birthday. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating. They wished my husband a happy birthday and had a bottle of champagne with chocolate covered strawberries for us in the room. They also had a bday card that was handwritten.
The hotel was clean and really nicely decorated and roomy.
The location was great with the T station right out front. The staff couldn't have been more helpful showing us how to get to places.
We felt very pampered!
We will definitely stay there again.

The Colonnade Hotel in Boston is a great location to base your holiday. If it is your first time in Boston (as it was mine) the location is great. Literally outside the door is an underground station so perfect for travelling around. Over the street is the prudential center... perfect for food, shopping and picking up the Trolly tours but also Bostons second highest building so easy to spot from around the city as a 'homing beacon!'.
The hotel itself is very clean and the rooms are of a nice size. The room is as you would expect from this grade of hotel but without any truly memorable features. The windows opened which was nice to allow some natural air in but a little scary!
The staff, particularly the doorman were very helpful and thoughtful. We did not use many of the facilities but based on our room we would happily stay at the Colonnade again on our next trip to Boston.
