“Great Place to Stay”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

One of the best features of this hotel was it's staff. Everyone was helpful, friendly and welcoming. From the excellent manager Bill Hagen who made sure everything was perfection, to the chambermaids who bent over backwards everyone made my stay enjoyable. Danny the concierge was cheerful, helpful and always accomodating, even though I changed some plans several times within the same afternoon he never flinched but helped me find deals on Duck Tours and that right italian restaurant in the North End.
I loved the location and the views from the rooms where spectacular. The rooms themselves wheer very well laid out and very comfortable. I had familiy members in town staying at another hotel in Boston and they were truly envious of my choice and the amenities I had and they didn't. Including the amazing view from the rooftop pool, which made a great place for breakfast overlooking the city.

I am definitly going to come back.

Room Tip: The rooms on the city side have an amazing view of the prudential tower and the Christian science ch...

We greatly appreciated the very helpful and welcoming staff - the front desk manager Christine, the reservations agent Jill, the bellman Deekson ,the concierge Danny , the pool staff, the chambermaids and the restaurant and bar staff. We stayed 4 nights. when we forgot binoculars for Fenway Park the hotel gave us a small pair to keep. When we could not get ball tickets Danny got us good tickets at a fair price. When we felt crowded because our big son was in the room with us, the hotel found a perfect room at no extra cost.

the rooms are spacious -370 sq feet, very well appointed-superior to large 4 star chains like the Sheraton, Westin, Hilton. more like the Fairmont. Windows open, AC works well, showers have lots of pressure, parking is convenient, location is perfect.

the pool on the roof is an oasis. It has a comfortable bar outside, luxurious ,large towels, lots of staff looking after you, comfortable furniture, great sun exposure and shade, and a new pool.Lots of fun.

this is a boutique hotel with 11 floors. Rooms are large and bright.

Room Tip: we were in 2 different rooms. both excellent. we did not experience an inferior room.

They sure came back- A mini staycation of R&R for Fathers day was a hit. A sophisticated renovated roof top pool, it was amazing. I couldn't stop talking about how great the pool looks everything was updated clean and in tip top shape. Roof top bathroom is nicer than some peoples bathrooms at home (a relief). Colonnade Customer service really stepped up their game, music was good and the new menu of fun/delish cocktails and swordfish tacos (to die for). Kayleigh the Roof Top Pool waitress took really good care of us and with a smile. Totally worth a staycation or visit to Boston. A must is Jo B's double hot chocolate, made sure I grabbed one after check out on my way to work. Big round of applause for the shape up!!!

Room Tip: be nice to the girls at the front :)

A really lovely place to rest your head. In walkable distance of the centre and with plenty of helpful staff. Food v good too! Nearby the is a shopping mall with a Cheesecake Factory, a dream come true! Also a supermarket with excellent deli and wine section.

Room Tip: I only saw our room, which was lovely.

We stayed for four nights at the hotel and it was a wonderful experience, Virtually every employee there was so friendly and helpful to us. They took extra time and told us what we did and what we didn't need to see while we were there. Transportation was not a problem whether they recommended walking, subway, on and off trolley or cab. The front staff, restaurant folks, and concierge were so nice. However, there was one employee that went above and beyond the call of duty named Deneke. He even remembered our names and recognized us when we came in the building each night. In Alabama, we pride our selves with being nice and cordial but Deneke's attitude even beat some Alabamians!! Also, Mary Belle, who was with the maid service was so easy to work with, smiling , etc. The room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. When we come back to Boston, we'll definitely stay there!!!

Colonnade Boston is such a charming hotel. It has a nice bright and modern lobby and the rooms are spacious and clean. I did a check based on a tip I learned from #hotelImpossible and it passed!

Anyway, I had a room with two double beds but unfortunately, neither the TV or Internet worked in my room. After troubleshooting for a while, the manager upgraded me to another room with King-size bed and was nice enough to apologize for the inconvenience personally. Their customer service is great.

The hotel is very close to Copley Square and Back Bay. It is definitely in a great location and close to the T. Would love to stay here again.

We stayed at the Colonnade twice and each time was fantastic. The front desk staff was extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful, and the room was very nice and clean. The concierge was helpful too, thank you. The restaurant was delicious. It's a beautiful hotel in the perfect location. Everything and everyone was wonderful!

A big thank you to the front desk staff for the kind gesture given to my son who was auditioning for NEC (March 2, 2014). He was accepted there and The Boston Conservatory!!
