“Great Hotel and excellent value!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2009

My wife and I were given a room for a night at the Colonnade Hotel as a wedding gift. We had to cancel the room due to an unexpected circumstance and rebook for a future night. Not only were we able to rebook with ease, but we were upgraded to a suite! The hotel was very generous and went above and beyond what I could have expected. We were also given a bottle of champagne with cheese, crackers and fruit. And to my surprise, we had two white soft robes waiting for us in the bedroom. The suite was huge, very accomodating and had a perfect view of the city. Every member of the hotel staff was great. If you are looking to stay anywhere in the city, I would look here first. Boston has a lot of high quality hotels, but the Colonnade is at the top of the list. It was a great way to start our honeymoon!

Very quaint hotel. Central and within walking distance to many of the attractions and shops. Staff is very friendly but be very specific that you want walking directions otherwise you'll get driving directions. Our room was on the 11th floor and had a gorgeous view of the city. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a bit small. Parking is expensive. Make sure you pay for parking along with your room so you don't have to look for the machines.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Colonnade Hotel in Boston. The hotel was beautiful as well as charming. I was amazed at the individual attention they gave to their guests. The room was spotless and very comfortable and had floor to ceiling windows. It was equiped with modern conveniences and the location was great. The food in the restaurant was amazing and we had a wonderful dining experience. We had use of the fitness room and we were surprised to learn the hotel also had a roof top pool. This hotel is truly a hidden jewel and I would recommend it to everyone, whether for business or leisure. Great hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff, room very large and comfortable with huge bed and mountains of pillows. Lifts take forever to arrive, but once you are downstairs it's only a short stroll to shopping mall and restaurants. Conceirge recommends taking the trolley tour but unless you are unable to walk or are elderly, I wouldn't. Take the metro - i'ts so cheap or get a map and walk. Also the Hotel does recommends taking a taxi from the airport (around $60)- this is very expensive and the metro stop is 10 metres from the front of the hotel and is amazingly frequent and very cheap (aound $2). The hotel was expensive if you are not a business traveller but as we only had two nights in Boston it was an acceptable splurge.

Contacted the hotel a couple weeks prior and requested a room at the top story with a view. Thought i would give it a try - the worst thing that could happen is that they would say they couldn't accommodate that. Arrived at the hotel and was given a room in the middle of the top story with a view of the Prudential Center! Everyone in the hotel was very helpful. The concierge was really helpful when they were there - but the front desk was amazingly helpful and courteous. The rooms were amazing. Modern fixtures, nice tv, amazing beds, and a very cool stylish bathroom. The hotel is in a great location for Red Sox games, Duck Tours, Prudential Center, and everything Boston. An unbelievable hotel and will definitely want to stay there again. There is only one thing that I could complain about and that is the thin walls - you could hear the people next door if they were even the little bit loud. Oh yeah, and they had an amazing fitness center and a rooftop pool. Make sure you sign up for the iPrefer membership - a free membership that will give you free internet!

The hotel was located in a great central area. We walked to and from Fenway with ease, the T stop was right out the front door, and we were close to bars, restaurants and shopping. The hotel staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and best of all, there was a ROOF TOP POOL! Doesn't get much better.
Our party had 3 rooms and even brought along the dog. The staff brought the dog his food and water dishes, and there was a park nearby to take him for his exercise.

This hotel is a great choice for a couple visiting the city. It is in a perfect location to dining, the T stop, duck tours, and other attractions. The Concierge was incredibly helpful with all of our requests and questions. Rooms are updated and clean.
