“LOVE this Hotel!”
Reviewed 13 September 2013

My fiance and I are HUGE Boston Celtics fans but we live in NJ therefore when we travel north to attend some of the basketball games we need a place to stay. This is our favorite hotel in Boston! I cant say enough good things about this place...its clean, modern, close/walking distance to all major attractions (TD Garden, Quincy Market, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall, ChinaTown), great & free coffee machine downstairs. The rooms are small but you're in the center of Boston so that doesnt matter to us and parking was hard for us to find at first (so we ended up just paying for valet parking). However the parking garage is literally 1 block away (in the direction of TD Garden) and you have to travel down an extra block if you want to catch the garage before coming to the hotel entrance because of alllll the one-way roads.

On a side note: Boston is our favorite city and we've traveled extensively, staying in many of the major coastal cities around the US and world (NYC, San Francisco, London, Washington DC, Paris, etc)

A boutique hotel the result of careful skilful planning. ideally located town centre within a short walking distance of the main attractions. Quincy market and the port area day and night life are 5 mins away. The Logan airport shuttle boat taxi docks a 5 min walk away, so is really handy if you dont have much luggage.
Receptionists are very friendly and helpful. Free fresh ground coffee and filtered water machines and bottles are a thoughtful addition. Rooms are clean comfortable and adequate. Price is high for the offering but its town centre Boston, so perhaps understandable.
I recommend it and wouldnt think twice about staying there again . in fact looking forward to it !

Great place to stay - right in the heart of the financial district. We parked the car and left it for the three days of our stay. The room was clean, well appointed with all the facilities needed for both business and pleasure travellers.

The staff, particularly Sal, were both welcoming and efficient. When the (free) coffee machine ran out of milk, the staffer called a member of the service staff who appeared almost immediately to replenish it.

The guests closets (with extra pillows etc.), water dispensers and the fresh flowers in the lobby and downstairs lounge were nice touches.

I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

We specifically requested a quiet room. First night (Friday night - Saturday morning) no problem. Second night (Saturday night - Sunday morning) big problem.
At about 6:30-7am Sunday morning we heard loud voices in the hallway outside our door. We thought it was some inconsiderate guests. This lasted for about 1/2 hour and then......it started to sound like an airplane was warming up its engines in the room next door. This went on for two hours.
We finally called the front desk and complained. We were told they would check it out. 1/2 later - still the noise. I looked outside our door and found a bunch of cables running from the stairway, past our room, and into the room next door. They were not there Saturday evening. That is obviously what was going on early Sunday morning.
We called back the front desk and complained again. The person at the desk said they would come up with the hotel engineer to investigate. 1/2 hour later - sill noise. Finally we got a call back from the front desk to advise that, in fact, there was some kind of loud maintenance going on in the room next to ours. Since the rooms have connecting interior doors, the noise sounded like it was right in our room. This was not just minor noise. This was VERY, VERY, loud. It ruined our plan for a quiet Sunday morning and, in fact, our trip.
We asked what the hotel would do for us. They took some action but we did not feel it went far enough since we never would have chosen this hotel if we knew there was loud maintenance going on AND since we specially requested a quiet room.
We packed up our suitcases and prepared to leave the hotel - hours before we had planned - and stopped at the front desk to seek suitable compensation.
We were not getting the satisfaction we wanted from the front desk and asked to speak to the next higher Manager. At this point our conversation was overheard by a Manager by the name of Sal.
Sal clearly knew the meaning of customer service and, admittedly, did not want us going any higher in the management of his company to resolve the issue. Sal did the right thing and we left satisfied with his resolution.
The issue should not have occurred in the 1st place but when something happens the company should make it right. In the end they did but not without 1st arguing about the situation and telling us they had gone as far as they could when really, initially, they went was far as they chose to not as far as they could.
High compliments to Sal for realizing that we did nothing wrong, we were unhappy and aggravated, and it was his company's fault.
Sal is a fine manager and should convey his methods to his staff.
Bye the way, the room was small but comfortable.
Would have given this place a higher rating if not for the noise issue and initially poor response resolving it.

Room Tip: Go for a higher floor as there is considerable traffic noise - as there would be in any major city

The welcome we received from Sal, and at our departure was extraordinary. Ms. Madrid was also very helpful.
The hotel's downtown location is perfect, and close to all major Trail attractions, metro, and Amtrak South Station. It is in a quiet area though in the city center. The price is value for money.
I strongly recommend it for families, couples or even singles.

Really fast check in and clean and comfortable room, even if its a bit small for two people. The housekeeper Marina Navarro was really friend and helpful. Our room was in excellent shape after her cleaning. Definite will consider staying here again when I get to come back to bean town.

A great trip to Boston and what a pleasure to stay in the middle of everything. Just minutes to all places around town. Clean room and excellent service by Marina Nouarro, who made sure our stay was pleasant.

Strong wifi signal all around, nice gym area, just the room perhaps a bit too small
