We were amazed and happily surprised at how many original item of Evel's are here. With a lot of interactive things to do to keep you from getting bored. The virtual reality bike jump was definitely a thrill. The people working there were very knowledgeable and very helpful. Was a great experience I highly recommend.

An amazing collection of this daredevil's paraphernalia. Learning about his life was very interesting. The restoration of Big Red is an incredible story.

If you've ever wanted to learn more about Evel Knievel this is the place to go. So much information. Plan on a minimum of 2 hours. Well laid out and lots of information. When you leave the museum, exit through the back of the 2nd floor into the Harley Davidson shop (the museum is in the HD building). Go downstairs and see their vintage motorcycle collection. Just an added bonus!

The Evel Kenevil Museum in Topeka, Kansas is a must see attraction for anyone who grew up in the '70's or early 80's. Took my 24 year old son to see it. Great road trip.

We are on our honeymoon driving back to Ohio from Colorado and wanted to stop in KC for some real BBQ. Remembered seeing Arthur Bryant’s Barbeque on tv and wanted to try it. OMG some of the best pulled pork I’ve, no we’ve ever had. The place has awesome food and a great collection of pictures on the wall. We will go back the next time we are in town.

This was a fun experience because I grew up watching Evel and his jumps as a youngster. My teen son has also been shown Evel's feats and rides motocross, so this was a great stop to look at Evel's youth, teen and young adult years before he made it big with his fearlessness. It was great for my son to realize he was the beginning of the xtreme sports that he enjoys doing and watching too. It is attached to a HD store as well. If you are not a motorcycle fan or grew up with Evel, then you may not enjoy.

Museum follows Evel's life from childhood, to schooling, to working, to daredevil activities. The displays are interesting with a mix of photos, equipment (including replica motorcycles, and some case actual cycle), through videos of many of the jumps.

Of interest is the tractor trailer that he drove around the country. The living space in the truck was decorated representative to what he used when performing.

Some interactive displays as well. You can select a jump, and a x-ray of the broken bones allows you to view the damage. And in some cases, you can view the repairs (lots of pins holding things together).

Worth the visit.

The museum is outstanding in every way! The folks who put it together have done an extremely thorough job documenting Evel's life and his professional career. The staff is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their work; they love sharing what they know and pointing you to parts of the museum that you might not have paid as much attention to. We spent 3 and 1/2 hours there and could have definitely spent more time.
We rode our motorcycles 500+ miles through high winds and driving rain to visit the museum and it was worth every mile. It was so good that I plan to visit the museum again because I am sure there were things that I missed.

Great museum that shows Evel was so much more that just his wrecks.
Give yourself at least 90 min to go through everything & another half hour to talk with the guys upstairs. They're friendly & know a lot of extra trivia about the collection.
