“Camping in the middle of one huge party!!”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

Campland is somewhere everyone should experience! After a very quiet stay at an RV resort in Anaheim, moving to Campland was a bit of a shock to the system. There are approximately 620 campsites and in the A area where we stayed, there are a majority of tent campers.

This is a great spot for kids of all ages, people who want to be in a very social environment and who enjoy a bit of a circus. There are tons of activities for kids - playgrounds, ice cream parlor, arcade, disc jokey on a stage in the evenings, 2 pools and of course the beach. My kids loved the activity and so many other kids around to hang out with.

The bathrooms were great and as clean as can be expected with the volume of people using them. The grounds felt secure with a guard at the entrance confirming everyone as they entered the campground.

We had a large party of campers next to us and I figured that the noise level was going to be high through the night but with quiet hours at 11pm to 7am, I was very pleasantly surprised how the entire campground settled into a peaceful and quiet environment once quiet hours hit. I did see security ask a couple of groups to settledown and be respectiful of the hours. I was very happy to see that the campers were very friendly and agreeable to security so there was no conflict in anyway.

Would stay here again definitely.

This is really a resort where you bring your own room, so to speak.

It has some nice landscaping, and everything was impeccably clean, but it felt like I was camping at Disneyland.

Yes, as per the other reviews there are amazing amenities!

There are multiple pools, hot tubs, a beach, sail boats, planned activities, a camp store that is better than many small department stores, they deliver firewood to your site, shuttles to the Zoo etc., It reminded me of a cruise ship, but with camp fires and s'mores.

It's a great place for large, possibly loud, family gatherings. The kids can play at any number of attractions while the parents relax. It is outdoors, and the climate is great.

The other guests were having a great time, and for many this may be the ideal camping experience. It is well maintained, well run, and very clean.

For us, it wasn't quite right. We aren't hard-core back-country campers, but we felt a bit like we were camping at a mall or amusement park.

We stayed at Campland the last week of July with our six year old boys and had a blast. The park includes both tent and RV camping spots with full hook ups for RV's. Restrooms and showers are available for tent campers. A private beach, boat ramp, and toy rentals including wave runners are available. A store, laundry mat, and ice cream shop are onsite. Some sites are pretty small, some research on the park map for good sites at low cost is well worth it. Security is good, Rangers were always patrolling but not heavy handed. Our kids were free to ride their scooters around the park and we always felt secure that they would be OK with the extra freedom. A great view of the fireworks from Sea World every evening is a plus. Note this isn't the Hilton or plush resort, don't come expecting that. We will be back regularly.

This is our third year coming to Campland & we are already planning our trip for next year. Excellent RV campground for families with kids of all ages. Love the fact that it is a private beach with fireworks from Seaworld nightly. Beach is clean & water is warm being on the bay.

I've been coming to Campland since I was 10 years old. Every year we get campsites on the bay with friends. Lots of fun for kids. Plenty to do and plenty of things to spend money on at the Marina. The beach area sites get a little loud on summer weekends, but they are good about enforcing quiet time at 11pm. Premium sites are not cheap, but what a view!

Is it for adults? Yes, if you bring your own toys (watercraft).

This was my second year experiencing Campland on the Bay. Pitched a tent this year instead of renting a trailer. Still a very crowded campground with lots of offerings on-site: beach, boat ramp, aquatic rentals, restaurant, game room, laundry facilities, dog parks, basketball/dodgeball, swimming pool(not very clean), and concerts in the park. Credit to the custodial staff for keeping the bathrooms clean and stocked with TP.
Rangers diligent about quiet hours in the park after 11pm.
