Positives - Tommy Bahama toiletries are excellent and we really liked the decor. Room was large and very clean and shower strong and hot. Cookies every afternoon are nice. Nice stretch of beach and walking distance to many restaurants. Overall we had a nice stay.

Negatives - Couldn't take full advantage of our balcony or view due to neighbors chain smoking on their balcony. At reservation time, my credit card was charged for 2 nights instead of the 1 night indicated on the site. Parking should be included as on-street parking even mid-week was impossible. Adding $25 to the room rate is a bit much. Free wi-fi was often slow. Breakfast not included.

Hints - If you are in a partial view room, try for the north side. The south side overlooks the lobby, garage entrance and a public restroom.(Beep, beep, beep of delivery trucks backing up every morning.) Reservation said "welcome glass of wine, complimentary internet access, souvenir photo, bicycle rentals, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and a 1pm late check-out. You also receive 50% off of the breakfast menu in the Caribbean Room" none of which was mentioned at check-in so you will need to remember to ask the desk about any deals that were included in your room reservation.

Room Tip: North side quieter for partial view rooms, third floor best.

Oh how I love Pacific Terrace... We come from Arizona every 3 months for my son to have medical treatment.

Being a single parent of 5 is always a challenge until I check in at the hotel. The staff is family to me and they always extend themselves to make sure we have everything we need.

Our room is perfect in every way and I couldn't be happier! It's also a relief to see my son enjoy his time here even though he's here for medical.

Bottom line is I feel this hotel has a way about it to relax you! I'm not one to sit, but when I'm here, I do...

This was the wedding hotel picked by the bride and the staff were exceptional. The front desk was informative and friendly, without exception. The young man who took care of bikes to cars was always pleasant each time we went to the lobby. Yes, the rooms are great and the view spectacular, but when a staff member gets you food wrapping at 10:30 pm so you can save the bridal cake layer for the happy couple you know you are in the right place!!

Thank you for your review! We love being a part of special occasions, and this wedding was a wonderful one! The staff took pictures of the bride and her bridesmaids, as they came through the lobby, and we all felt like we were a part of the day. We hope you'll be back to see us again, soon.

The hotel is as nice as everyone says. We visited in January and despite the cool weather, high 60s, the pool was warm enough for evening swims with the family. A definite plus. The beach is very nice in front of the hotel. A definite recommend.

We spent 6 nights in this 3¼ Star hotel that charges 5 Star prices as this time of year is spring break and the prices are elevated astronomically. If you want an ocean view it is even more $. None of the first floor rooms have much of a view so of a view of the ocean is important, select the 2nd or third floor. Parking is nuts around this place and you might choose to park underground in the hotel's lot. There are more rooms than parking spaces so you might still loose out on paying the $25 per night fee. There is free parking along the side of the hotel and it is marked that the spaces are for hotel guests only, however it is not enforced so the local beach goers park there most of the day. Night is somewhat better.

The pool is very nice but chock full of kids most of the time, including the very large hot tub.

The staff is very friendly and accomodating making up for the high cost to some extent. The breakfasts are above average, but $14 per person unless you get a discount during booking. Make sure that full price is not on your bill at checkout if you do get the discount.

We had errors on our bill of some $60 and our daughter had over $70 in errors on her bill.

Room Tip: Book 2nd or third floor rooms for any sort of view.

Started our stay in a bad way with the hotel forgetting to book our transport from the airport so we landed after an 11 hour flight to find no one to meet us It took 3 telephone calls to get a car to us. They at least paid for the transfer as an apology.
Not a good start.
Once we got there, lovely staff, nice room, great location for the beach and views.
Only downside is it is a long way into the city and our pre. selected choice of restaurants.
Go there it is a relaxing stay.

During Christmas break we decided to spend a few nights at the Pacific Terrace Hotel. It was the best decision we made - balcony on the beach/pier view, sunrises/sunsets, a wonderful breakfast each morning, pool accomodations, and 80+ degree weather everyday was worth the price. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Hope to return this summer again.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony on the pier-side of the beach - sun all day and no shade.
