“Not good hotel, simply incredible”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

We spent one week in this fantastic hotel where the concept of good service is a must. The rooms are large, with sophisticated design, and very nice beds. If you can pay extra for a view on the sea, you will be amazed. Location is perfect, wifi free. Breakfast is the only weak point, but at least it is cheap (strong smell of grilled pork in early morning is not really trendy). the best in San Diego

Room Tip: If you can pay the extra for a sea view, you will have one of the most beautiful view I ever seen.

The only thing bad I have to say about this hotel, is the fact that we were able to spend only one night there. The location is excellent, the staff is fantastic and the amenities are plentiful. From beach toys for the kids to fresh cookies in the evening, there is something for everyone.

I highly recommend this place.

We stayed there 4 nights in a family suite, very well equipped. We were on the ground floor and it was not loudly. We had a private terrace from where you can see the see.
Beds were very good and also the service.
Our son slept in a convertible sofa but the sofa was very good because it had an inflatable mattress !
The location is really good as you are almost on the beach !
You can borrow body boards at the reception.
Close to many good restaurants and you can easily walk, without having yo take your car.
So overall, we would definitely recommend that location.
The people at the reception desk were very helpful and nice, especially Diego !

I do a lot of business travel and came across this hotel last minute. Called them directly to book, attendant was very nice and told me about a special they were running for $199 on what is usually at $350 room.

Apparently I got upgraded to a king suite which was amazing. Very spacious, nice layout, high end across the board. Also, fantastic terrace right on the boardwalk with very good sound proofing doors and windows. Bar was well stocked too and the place is right in the thick of things. This is going to be my go-to hotel on trips to San Diego.

Having arrived late at night and had hassle with car hire we were immediately put at ease by the fantastic staff here. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are generously sized. Even the partial ocean view rooms are lovely. The breakfast buffet is good value at $14 per person. The pool side looks out over fantastic views of pacific beach and the ocean. Surfers are out there with their boards at sunrise. An awesome sight to see. Dolphins leaping from the water, pelicans flying overhead. We are in paradise. You gotta stay here! Foodies? We recommend the 'Broken yolk' for breakfast featured in "Man versus Food". Fresh Maine 11/2 lb lobster with starter, garlic fries and home made slaw followed by bread and butter pudding and whiskey cream sauce at 'The Spot' in La Jolla. Pacific Terrace.... Carry on doing a great job. You all deserve 'Employee of the month'!

Room Tip: 3rd floor gets a fantastic view

The hotel is in a great location and is within walking distance to a lot of great restaurants. It's very clean, modern and the views are outstanding!!! The pool area is very nice and the staff is awesome. We cannot say enough great things about this hotel. We took our daughter to California for a summer vacation and this area is fantastic.

Room Tip: Get an ocean view if at all possible. You won't be disappointed!
