Old Town San Diego landmark - great location if you want to go out at night there. Rooms look like a Disney version of Lincoln's bedroom - the styles are right but obvious cheap imitations. Would have been an easy "above average" rating but the guy checking us in was simultaneously seating people at the restaurant and it took 40 minutes though we were the only ones checking in. They also didn't know how to start the fireplace, gave biased opinions on where to eat, etc. Basically a government-run hotel: Imagine if the DMV were in charge of a hotel and you get the picture. Good value though.
