The staff was polite and helpful as usual. We stayed in the loft suites, and they were nice, but not outstanding. Overall, a B or B+...the hotel is starting to show it's age. The concierge was never at the desk ( at least we never saw anyone in the 4 days we stayed) but the desk and bell guys were very helpful. There was a noise factor since the train station was across the street....not a problem in our room, but had I been at a number of the other rooms I believe the disturbance would have been annoying. (They supply cheap earplugs should you need them.) The breakfast was pretty good since we were comped, I do not know if it was worth the cost to someone who was paying. If I had it to do again, I would have stayed at the Hilton bayfront, only a 10 minute walk from the gaslamp. We went to see it and it was in MUCH better shape. Next time I will know. All in all, the hotel was fine and we had a good time, but there are better Hilton options in the area.
