We had a wonderful stay at WorldMark San Diego. The Mission Valley resort is in the heart of San Diego and only 5-15 minutes to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. This is the perfect place to stay for a family on the go. The units are small, but still pack the usual WorldMark amenities. The pool is nice. I would recommend WorldMark Ocean Side if you want to stay spend your days the resort. Buying in to WorldMark has been one of the best decisions my family has made. It affords us many fabulous family vacations.

Stayed in a one bedroom as a family of four. Was hoping to have two in bedroom, two utilizing sleeper sofa. Unfortunately, sleeper sofa was so uncomfortable we all squished in the bed. They offered us a matress pad for the sofa but it was simply a lightly quilted matress cover so it did not improve the comfort level. The location of our unit was awful as well. Not only because of the proximity of the elevator but because of the fact that a large trash and recycling receptacle was located outside of the door in the hallway. This clearly should have been labeled a 'less desirable' location. The pool is also tiny for the number of guests. It was packed at all hours and did not have a life guard. The one plus was the resort was convenientally located to sea world, shopping, beaches. Overall unimpressed and as a worldmark owner slightly embarrassed to have it as a worldmark property.

Me, my husband and two grandchildren (ages 7 and 11) stayed in a two bedroom, two bath condo the last week of May. We were on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool. The condos are nicely furnished in typical Worldmark fashion. The bedrooms and bathrooms are decent size but the kitchen/dining area is very small. We had to move the dining chairs just to get to the appliances and move around in the kitchen. The kitchen was stocked with the usual dishware but everything seemed crammed. The pool and hot tub are on the small side but the kids had a great time nonetheless. The condo is about 15 minutes away from Seaworld which we visited several times and is pretty easy to get to. The airport is easy to get to as well and we also visited the USS Midway which is also within a 15 minute drive. We did get approached to attend a timeshare presentation but we declined upon check-in. They did call us twice to try to get us to go but they didn't pressure us. The staff is very friendly and they gave us free ice cream when we were too late to attend the ice-cream movie family night. They have different movie family nights with free popcorn but the "family room" does not accommodate more than about 12-15 people. The arcade room is very small with only a few games and the machines sometimes took our money and then didn't work. We checked out games from the front desk which the kids loved. There is no gift shop or store in sight so you have to drive to get anything although we did go one night to Benihanas which is right across the street. The parking lot is very tight and you have to maneuver around large poles but we never had a problem finding a parking spot. Security here seemed really good as the guard came to our room when he saw the door cracked open just to make sure we were okay. I saw him checking the premises frequently and he was very friendly as well. Overall, this is a nice place to stay and close to everything you might want to do in San Diego. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool as the other rooms appear to overlook a dirt hill.

DH and I stayed at the WorldMark San Diego Mission Valley from April 26 to May 3, 2013. I think staying in a condo while on vacation is a hundred times better than a cramped hotel room. We used an exchange which was quick and easy. I am always second-guessing myself and travel plans are no different. We had a nightmare in flying/renting a car but when we opened the door to our one bedroom unit the stress started melting away. All staff is very friendly and helpful. I use a cane and we were given a room right off the elevators without having to ask. The front desk has cards with directions to amenities (e.g. grocery store) and attractions which was most helpful until we secured a working GPS.

The units and property are clean and well kept. While relaxing on our balconey I saw housekeeping wiping down the patio furniture on another balconey. He was even wiping the table and chair legs.

Our kitchen was fully equipped. We had no washer/dryer but could use the laundry facilities at no charge. There are barbeques available for use (we ate dinners out). The central location meant we were 10-15 freeway minutes away from most attractions yet could not hear traffic noise. There is an underground parkade which means your car stays out of the sun. The only small negative about this property is the pool. It is small for the size of the complex and probably gets rather busy with kids in the summer. We didn't use the pool. We paid $15 for Wifi for the week (up to 10 days) for 2 devices which meant we could iMessage the kids back home and browse the internet on the iPad.

We really enjoyed our stay at WorldMark San Diego Mission Valley. I would not hesitate in recommending this property to anyone.

The staff truly go out of their way to assist however they can. Facility and room was very clean and well kept.
My only real knock on this place is the hot tub. Very small and only one for the entire complex.
We traded here with RCI, our home property being Gas Lamp Plaza Suites.
The location isnt too bad, close to everything you need to be, Zoo, Harbor, Beaches etc.
For groceries recommend going to Food for less, straight north on as you cross the freeway.

Room Tip: We had the building that is serviced by elevator 3. good location and balcony is quiet.

Would have liked to been warned about the renovations on our floor prior to arrival, such as the carpet removal and painting. Received a phone call at 9 pm asking if it would be alright for the construction crew to unlock my door the next day and paint it, I said yes, I didn't really know what to say at the time, I was taken a little off guard. The next morning I went to the front desk & told/asked them not to mess with our door it looked freshly painted and all the fumes were making us nauseous & bring on a migraine attack for me (not how I plan on spending vacation). When we returned to the room it appeared & smelled like they left our room alone.

Overall our 2 bedroom unit was nice. It had 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms. The guest room had twin beds and the master had a king. We were in unit 850 and for the life of me I don't understand why the guest bath was nice than the master but all well miner details. The living room was small as was the dining area. The dining table only had room for 3 chairs but it worked for us. We booked a 2 bedroom so our daughter had her own room so it would be like home away from home.

The pool which they called "heated" was still freezing but the hot tub was nice. There are several restaurants close. We ate at Denny's for breakfast every morning. There is also a Target very close and other shopping.

TIP: BRING YOUR OWN SHAMPOO THIS HOTEL DOESN'T PROVIDE ANY!!! YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE IT!!!

Overall, a nice little hotel, location not so great, next to a busy interstate. But it worked. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. However, if I go back to San Diego I don't know if I'd stay here.

Room Tip: Bring your own shampoo/conditioner the hotel doesn't provide any in rooms but sells it in the lo...

This condo is pretty nice - had a great kitchen and decks off every room. Our room had a DVD player and Ipod dock. There are several BBQ grill throughout the property. It is located very close to lots of shopping & restaurants and not more than 15 minutes from most attractions (SeaWorld, Balboa Park, beaches, etc.). The staff was very helpful with helping us find our way around and suggesting activities that we would like. There was an underground gated parking garage, which was great, and Benihana is a two minute walk from the condo. The only gripes we had were that the pillows were very hard & uncomfortable and the hot tub (there is only one pool/hot tub area for the whole resort) was really small. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay!

Room Tip: The rooms that overlook the pool seem like they would get a lot of noise. We didn't have one th...
