Stayed at the Omni for a meeting at the convention center. Location is less than 2 blocks from the convention center backing Petco Park and right at the edge of the Gaslamp district, so many restaurants and some shops were steps away. Room was a little small but very comfortable and modern. Nice in room conveniences including a safe and mini bar. Bathroom was spa-like, but pocket doors gapping a little could make for a privacy issue if more than one person is staying in the room. If you stay here, ask for a high floor. I had a great view and heard almost nothing. I talked with a convention attendee on a lower floor who did not sleep well due to trolley noise. Service was top notch; front desk and housekeeping were quick to respond to any requests. I did not have time to enjoy the other amenities, but the pool area looked nice. If I get the chance to go back, I would try it out. Overall, very, very nice stay. I would go back.
