The only time I've been to this restaurant was for one of the pool movie nights at the Lafayette. The hotel was busy, but it really didn't seem to be *that* busy. The server brought us out an olive plate 30 minutes after we ordered. We didn't get our food until over an hour after we had ordered... It was just a disaster. I don't know if I'm willing to give this place another try. The food was okay, but the service was so awful, and San Diego has so many great restaurants nearby so it's kind of like.... why bother. Maybe if you come on a day when it's not as busy, or if you're staying as a guest in the Lafayette. Otherwise, I'm going to stick with ordering drinks and appetizers. The olive plate is really great, but everything else arrived cold and was not that memorable. Stick to light pool fare and you should be okay.
I'm not sure why they don't ever seem to have enough wait staff here though... This place gets busy, and they should make sure they have enough people working to meet demand.
